Yeah, see!  That PROVES that only MX is for real men!  Trail riding is for losers and wussies :o
Hey, is there a "crappin' my pants" emoticon?  I think we need it for this one!

I like both types.  But I'm talking about the old style enduro/play bike 4st, not the new grenade bikes.  The old XRs, TTs, and DRs would last a lifetime with only the most minor maintaenance, engine wise.

I love my CR500, but i also like to ride my old DR370 (White Bros AL. swing arm/ Works Perf. shocks/ Terry fork kit/ Super Trapp).  It can't be directly compared to the CR500, since they have different missions.  It's a "mellow" bike that can putt along at walking speed, pull wheelies without having to do light speed, and yet still tops out over 70 mph.  The CR is a rocket, with great acceleration, speed and suspension, but you constantly have to be "on top" of it, or else you get hurt.

We don't all ride MX tracks exclusively, but anyone who says doing 70mph in the dirt on an old school machine isn't "exciting" is full of carp.

I'm sorry to hear of your injuries.  I hope you continue to heal, and continue to enjoy your chosen sport.  There's not enough women in our sport, and it's always good to see a gal that keeps up (in your case probably passing)with us guys.  Don't push it, when it's no longer fun, it's not worth doing.

No-o-o-o!  Don't make me get rid of my CR500 :'( :'( :'(

What we need is a boycott of the AMA, for being a bunch of spineless pansies!  The Japanese would build whatever the public wants, and the public wants what wins.  Unless someone (The AMA) twists the rules unfairly...

Man, an ISDT yet!  I'd love to "stumble" on to something like that, but how does one go about finding the barn, or old shop, or cluttered garage with a possible treasure?  How would I begin such a search?

Appreciate-yes.  Own, unfortunately, no.   I have always been a fan of the '76  Pursang 370, a true work of art.

Personally I own a 1977 Suzuki DS185, 1978 Suzuki DR370, and a 1991 Honda CR500.  But as soon as I hit those lottery numbers...

Congratulations on your fine stable of historic mounts, SachsGS.

M.R.
