The Ultimate Mini, The Fastest Pit Bike, or Tim The Toolman''''s CR250mini....

Miedosoracing,

I wish you luck - as in, I hope you don't get hurt badly by that thing.

So many adults get hurt on Minis. Add a 250 2t, and it's even more likely. Remember the many top level riders hurt on Minis built for the 'night mini races' in the Trans AMA era? When Bevo brought out the Bultaco 250 (or was it 360cc??) engined mini, it got shut down.........

Mind you, if would be a hell of a hoot riding your little monster of a thing! :o :D 8) I hope you added more than just a couple of inches to the swing arm length. And, that it's a Big Wheeler.

As for 360 / 380 KTMs - in KTM Talk. there are quite a few of those engine conversions, into late model chassis.

Blokes even fit 360 / 380 cranks and top ends onto latest model SX250 Engines. Makes you realize how little Really Has been done to their basic 2t module(s) over so many years. Fit an RFS crank / barrel to a late model SXF250 - not particularly likely............ Not that you'd want to.

It leaves you wondering why KTM don't do it? Oh yes, they might just cut into 350 / 450 / 500 4t sales. Rather severely. And, it's very very cheap to make an 'open class' 2t, with just a bigger piston and bore. They can even get a lot more money for that 'overbored' 250. The same concept, will probably be the case when they finally get around to releasing whatever new 2t they have, to meet coming Euro / World environmental rules

350 / 400cc +-,  modern 2ts - perfect bike, I reckon.

If any of you are interested in seeing top level MXGP riders going Ratso on minis, look up in YouTube - Everts yearly charity event.

At least this one, the big blokes are on Big Wheelers.

Rui Goncalves on a a 150 - Herlings etc as well - on small wheelers.

Cairoli being a nutter on a Scooter1, an 85 /105, (think he squishes a kid when their wheels contact) Plus a brief sight of Harry Everts on his Puch, plus GP riders on 2ts, and Twinshockers. Very cool.

In the middle of the season, quite a few, give their time to this big charity event, and race each other, and Top Level Mini riders. Seeing Cairoli, Herlings, Goncalves etc going utterly balistic on 85s / 105s and CRF150s (the Honda riders) is hiliarious / amazing. Cairoli dressing up, and going nutters on a Scooter is a classic.

As for DeDycker on a Mini - well, he makes a 450 look like a Mini, so you've got to see him on a 150 ;D :<img src=" title="Roll Eyes" class="smiley"> Youl find a video of he and Goncalves, going at it hammer and tongs, somewhere near these vids on YouTube.
