Just got this month's issue of Dirt Rider
« on: May 16, 2012, 11:01:12 PM »
I love the cover!!  It is about time the industry starts to show some love for the buck twenty-fives!!  Now let's just hope that poeple vote with their feet (around here anyway) and walk into the dealerships and start buying them.  In my opinion, a 125 is the most economical way to enjoy the sport and more people should consider them.  Keep the 125 alive!

people say 125s are the most economical, but really 125s arent any cheaper than 250s or 500s.

especially since you only have to put a top end in a 500 ever 200 hours.

blurp (shift) blurp (shift) cry (brakes)
But rear tyres, chains, sprockets, brake pads and underwear will need replacing on a more regular basis.... ;)

I gotta say I'm with Premixed here, the 125s are probably the highest maintenance full size 2 stroke. rings every what... 15 hours? then a top end at 50 hours if you're not screaming it into the next world. Clutches wear faster on the 125s too

Im not saying its absolutely necessary to replace those parts at those hours. I'm just saying to maintain your bikes competitiveness its probably a good idea. I'm the first to admit I don't have a 125 and could be wrong. If fun factor is counted in economics though, theres no question they are the most economical
