General Two Stroke Talk / Easy to sell.
« on: April 28, 2013, 10:57:17 AM »
When i bought bike it was good condition, some new plastics but no stickers at all. But most important the engine and clutch was fixed. There was new piston and and all clutch parts. So i bought the bike, it was cheap but didnt look so good those new plastics without any stickers. My part was easy, clean it up, change oils and put sticker kit. I sold bike a year ago, but even today some folks contact me and want to buy it.

General Two Stroke Talk / MX3 World Championship
« on: June 05, 2012, 09:08:49 AM »
Why this class have World Championship? Most of the riders are amateurs, this class really need some old champs to ride there or something like that.
If FIM decide to drop class value, i think all the drivers leave and its turn total amateur class, sufficiently wealthy amateur class, because FIM would still like hard charges from drivers. Now it is easier to get sponsors, saying driving a "World Championship".
This class is useless! Every year FIM talk about to do something to this class, but nothing gonna happen. This year, the series had to be already World Cup name on it, and drop World Championship value of it, drop the entry fee, reduce the number of competitions, etc.
I think some drivers use 490cc kit on their bikes, but yeah same bikes like MX1.. stupid class, all i can say..

Non-Moto / Suzuki“s situation
« on: March 15, 2012, 04:24:50 PM »
Very good answers. I look wiki about sales, Suzuki 2,902,000 units (Motorcycles) (2010). Like eprovenzano says money comes street bikes and parts, and other Suzuki stuff. But still stupid guy like me, dont get why dont keep making something that sell ??? Nowdays trend in industry is, if something dont make ENOUGH profit it can be shut down. Like some paper mills here in finland. One mill shut down because it didn't make enough profit. It made ??a profit every year but the shareholders' view, not enough ??? I just think if suzuki had same situation at the moment.

General Two Stroke Talk / Re: 2011 RM125 & RM250 test
« on: May 14, 2011, 08:56:05 AM »
On the Valenti-link, i read that the weight of the RM125 has gone up by 5 kilo's...
Interesting, as the RM 125 hasn't had any changes over the last few years...
And Dirtbikerider even claims a 10 kilogram weight increase (99 kilo)...
A few years ago, Suzuki RM 125 was catalogued for 87-88-89 kilograms, and this was for the same K-models (since 2002).

It seems like the O.E.M.'s are trying to make the 2 stroke sound heavier in weight than they really are...
Unless the current stickerset and graphics really add 10 kilo's...

 :D Hah hah.

I was wondering that weight thing also. Dry weight 125 RM 99kg, what the hell, where these specs come from? I've seen a lot of different dry weights through the years. I remember 84kg, 87kg, 92kg...
Perhaps the factories are trying to raise the figure on paper, only to disguise the real weight difference between two-stroke and four-stroke. Modern 250f weight easily over 100kg! On paper it looks heavy, when compared it 125-2t, what weighs less than 90kg. And remember, 125 Suzuki has remained unchanged for nearly 10 years. :(

General Two Stroke Talk / Re: Rumors confirmed?
« on: May 14, 2011, 12:40:36 AM »
this would be very cool, as this would put pressure on Honda and Kawasaki to produce 2t's again. However, is this rumor valid? There is another thread with people that were told that Suzuki was bailing on 2t's?

Hello. Yes i wrote that topic about two stroke Suzuki. I'm not 100% sure what is happening or has already occurred. But somehow i start to believe what Finland's distributor told me about future of two stroke Suzuki.

Hello. This seems to be latest version of 2011 model. Sad thing is that it seems to be also the LAST model of two stroke Suzuki.
http://www.valentiracing.it/it/motocross/rm-125.html

According to the latest rumors, Suzuki has already closed two stroke line.
I wrote about it in another topic here.

Very nice looking bike, maybe a little old fashion, but what the hell, in my opinion the best time in motocross was whole 90`s and early 2000. So this bike look VERY FANTASTICO cool in my eyes  ;)

General Two Stroke Talk / Re: Final Edition Suzuki RM
« on: April 15, 2011, 02:00:26 PM »
Sad day. I getting tired of rumors and I decided to find out about things. Some people have talked about how the Finland SuzukiĀ“s product manager was taking a part of suzuki global conference in europe.

So I grab the phone, and I call him, I want to know what he knows about the future of two stroke Suzuki!
He is very friendly guy. he tells me that he was taking a part of this big meeting. He tells me that he knows of two/three years ahead of production plans from Suzuki.
I ask him about two stroke bikes (125 and 250), he said that nobody talked about two stroke RM`s 125 or 250!. He also said that the 125-2t and 250-2t was dropped of the future production plan list. Now all adult sizes bikes are four stroke. Only one two-stroke bike left to production and it is 85cc, and they continue making of it, and got even some big changes to 2012.

Finally, he dropped a big bomb: I asked him is it possible to still buy in the future new 125 or 250 two stroke Suzuki, he said no! This year is last year that you can buy these Suzuki RM models. He said that the last two stroke RM models were made late last year october and november 2010. Their production is now closed.

Now iĀ“m afraid that yamaha make the same.

Europeans now are our last hope...
