Just got the word from Sleepy Hollow MX head honcho Jere Swarr that we are gonna try to organize a full blown 2 Stroke National next season at Sleepy Hollow MX in Fredricksburg PA. Tenative date is Sept. 17-18th 2011. We're talkin a big pro purse tons of sponsers, classes for everyone from ages 4 to 80, beginner to pro and not a thumper in site! Two full days of racing! And Jere even mentioned a four stroke bon fire!? We are just now startin to organize and plan for this hopefully huge and yearly event. Any suggestions are welcome!

Did you guys say 4 to 80?  I think by the time I get enough funds together to get there, I might just make the 80 year old cut off.  :D
This is awesome news.  Things are looking up for two strokes.  Honda sucks  :D
Hey I didnt post that last comment and you cant prove it.  ;D
How does one volunteer to help with something like this, especially if it comes to our home state?
Ok, I just noticed that it is only in PA.

I am so pumped on this! We have tons of time to plan and pull together sponsors and get everything set. Please We really want this thing to be huge. There are many 2 stroke die hards here in D6 but it would be awesome to pull in from  across the country! The whole Sleepy hollow crew  is committed to making this a first class big time event. Again any and all suggestions a openly welcome! I'll check with the boss but he may even welcome phone calls with questions and suggestions. I don't wanna post his # without askin 1st. Please feel free to chime in on this! The larger pool of ideas we have to pull from the better event we can put on!   Thanks ahead for any suggestions. Braaaappp!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Two Stroke Todd

Are you going to contact riders as well about making it out to the event? Such as Ricky Carmichael, or Jeremy Mcgrath? Also, it might help to get any magazine to sponsor you guys, you may get an article in the magazine that would be great free advertising.

Effen Awesome!!!!!  I had my first race at Sleepy Hollow earlier this year...wow...what an awesome track!!!  Jere and his staff put on a top-notch event.  I will have to e-mail Jere and let him know that if I can help I will.  Now that gives me some real motivation to get my YZ490 finished!!! :P

Yes we do intend to invite some big names. We've talked to the AMA and have been told that they will sanction our event but that we can not call it a "national".  Whatever we can come up with a better name for it then! we already have a few sponsers lined up at least 3 or so but tons more are expected. Only a few days into plannin an event that is over a year off and things just seem to be clicking together. thanks for the positive posts and keep the suggestions comin!

How about a "World Championship"? A bit better than just a "national" !!!!!!
