2-Strokes dominating the National Enduro Series
« on: July 21, 2011, 06:13:17 AM »
Check out this article from the Dirt Rider website, great to hear!!  Russell Bobbitt has always ridden 2-strokes, but it is great to see other riders switching back and improving their results.  Shows what we have all been saying......

If you ever get a chance to go to a National Enduro, GO!!  The one they ran in Maine last year went right by my house, I got to hit quite a few spectator points and worked a checkpoint.  It is unbelievable to see these guys going 3rd gear wide open through tight trees and nasty rocks & roots.  Plus it was about 50% 2-stroke!!!  Nick Fahringer was riding an obnoxiously loud Husaberg 4-stroke last year, great to see him on the 2!!

I was watching the WEC in Romania and was surprised at the number of 2T's. However, I was disappointed that the Top American, Kurt Casselli was riding a KTM thumper. He was my hero racing on the 125's in the desert!

Of course, if he starts getting beat by the 2-strokes, then he'll feel the pressure to switch. Sometimes it depends on the race. The 2-strokes have the advantage in most of the situations, but the Fs have some situational strenth at times too.
