Hey! does anyone know if the 05 front plate does fit with the 06 front fender? and what exactly is the difference from the 05 front fender and 06 ?
is the 06 fender abit more pointy? tnx

Technical / Yz 250 hard clutch pull

Hey there! i have a pretty hard clutch pull on my yz 250.i replaced the stock lever and perch with works connection stuff. also i replaced the clutch cable.the cable runs freely and smooth.You think there is something wrong inside the clutch? i have never open the clutch cover so i dont have a clue really.
i dont have any other problems with my clutch. only that it is pretty hard to pull

General Two Stroke Talk / riding tips for a newbie

Hello there! i started riding motocross this year in april.The last time i rode a dirtbike before that was 6-7 years ago on a 93 yz 125 on a straight field with street clothes on so i dont have alot of experience.

Started this year on a 05 yz 250! its super fun and challanging And i feel i have learned alot of the basics
of riding techniques.and i slowly progress with my riding.

But im asking for any tips. i have read alot of tips on the internett but its pretty much the same tips.small things that make a difference. also is there big difference in lines to take on a 250 2 stroke contra 4 stroke? things like that.Any tips to help out a newbie

Do you think a 02- fender would fit a yz 250? i probably would have to drill new holes but other than that?
was thinking of getting one in white

But have anyone tried the Magura - Hydraulic Clutch System ? i hear alot of good things about it.

Technical / race sag static sag

Hello there! so i was looking at my 05 yz 250 and was about to check the race sag and stuff. and i came to a conclusion that i needed a stiffer spring. time goes by and i was pondering on the race sag and such.. and i said to my self.. -HEY! if my race sag was 115mm and my static sag was 36 .. then perhaps i dont need a stiffer spring?

 if i adjust the rear shock 10mm i would have 26 static sag and 105 race sag right?
Or am i way to tired to understand the simple maths, or unwilling to spend more money on my bike, so i have to find a cheaper solution to get my bike prepped and ready to go before  the season starts.

Technical / yamaha yz 250 frame number

Hello there! i bought my 06 yamaha yz 250 this winter. and lately ive getting suspicious that its a 05 and not 06. my frame number is jyacg20c000008218  ppl say its the 10th digit on the vin number. and that if the 10th number is 6. its year 06. but mine has a 0.

Anyone knows how the vin number or frame number works? my bike has a aluminium frame so i know its 05+
