CR250. Random bog issue?????
« Reply #15 on: January 05, 2013, 04:24:56 AM »
Does it happen at only 1 track , or does it happen everywhere.?
Reason I ask is I have had problems with some outboards having a random missfire and after countless hours of wasted time went out with them and found it only happened at 1 spot on the water.
It turned out to be electrical interference from an under water cable.
Strange but it does happen. That is why you see all the different electrical standards on CDI's.

Radio and/or electrical interference is so rare these days it can take awhile to diagnose it.
But it does happen..

If it happens at any track , disregard the above. :)

THats trippy shit. You must've been like WTFFFFFFFF!!!! A miniature and electrical bemuda triangle :D

do you have one of those stubby colored tank vents on your bike?  if so, toss it as far away as possible, put a regular piece of vent line on there and try again.  That mikuni is crap also, put a 38mm pwk on there and you'll wonder why you didnt do it earlier.

I know right. Especially when they inspect all their fat lambs, with their pulverized rectums. ONLY IN NZ!

Ok guys, Everything is venting properly and no holes in float (as I mentioned before I have used 3 different carbs) and no change.
It does it randomly at every track no matter if it is on the first lap or 10th lap. It is completely random.

Well, the verdict is in. After splitting the cases I found a cracked right case half. it is a hairline crack but just enough to suck air at time and cause a lean issue. I have a spare set of cases so I will take care of it this weekend.
I have never seen this before but there is a first time for everything.

Thanks to everyone for the input.

Enough of the sheep jokes stu.
They weren't funny 20 years ago and still not funny.
An intelligent man wouldn't throw out the same joke every 5 minutes. It gets old. ><img src=" title="Angry" class="smiley">

Did a rock hit it? Maybe a casting defect from the factory?

Its a casting defect. Not going to stress over it. Ill do a case swap with fresh main bearings, seal, crank, etc. Just going to freshen it all up while it is apart

Good call. Makes no sense to put it back together only to tear it down again in 20 hours.
