Observations from Sunday's ride
« on: May 05, 2013, 02:23:57 PM »
I went riding Sunday, and noticed the bike mix was 80% smokers...  Now the track was under reconstruction, so it was just trail riding, but it was a welcome site.  One rider just purchased a 2011 KTM 350...  he was a die hard smoker, coming off a Gas Gas 300.  He wanted a KTM 300, but could not find one in his price range, and the 350 fell into his lap.  He only paid $4,000 which also includes two set of plastics, and graphics, 4 new tires and tubes, bash plates, filters, clutch and brake levers, etc.  As he said "I just couldn't pass up the deal".

His riding buddies were all on his case as he previously said he wouldn't be caught dead on a stroker... ;D  But since his riding buddies who just happen to all be on smokers, even one on a Banshee, reminded him about all the extra maintenance and oil changes he has to endure.   :(

Don't you just love good riding buddies.  :P
