learning stoppies!!!
« on: March 16, 2010, 08:45:03 PM »
From learning to do stoppies first on my streetbike which is a big and heavy Buell I found that I should prb stop that nonsense and get good in the dirt first.  I found that my 125 is almost too easy to do them on.  I never tried them before back when I was riding and racing (took a long vacation).  These were the first day doing them.  they are easier (to me) then a wheely.  And more fun!!  Any pointers on learning how to ride them out??

Hold on tight with your knees... get the rear wheel a little higher... then find and feel the balance point.

Have fun!

Haha yeah I knew that was going to be said.  I do and never really ride without it...But we were loading up and had a few minutes left of battery time so while we were waiting around I took these.
Since then I've gotten a lot better...I got on my 450 and even though it's a lot heavier, I've been able to ride away from some that are higher then the video.
Who here is good a stoppies?  if you are, do you think a heavy or light bike is easiest?
