arenacross is all 250F at the pro level, and is AMA - like the sx and nationals. So not likely to be different!

the day the AMA lets 250 two strokes onto the same gate as 250Fs is the day the taliban are invited to the presidents bachelour party.

I don't know which I would rather see actually...

Areanacross rules are the same as Supercross and Nationals. They both use AMA Pro Racing's 2013 rule book with adendums for their sections. Homologation is the same.

If you have been to an Arenacross lately, you'd also know that a 125 stands absolutely NO CHANCE of making it around the track safely, let alone being competitive.  I'm a two-stroke guy to the bone, but there is NO WAY a 125 is:

1. staying on top of those whoops
2. triple-tripling the rhythm straight (double-double-double and you won't make the main)
3. Hitting the finish booter.

It would take a hot-rodded 150cc to make a dent, with a 120lb rider like McDade.

I've said it a million times, the only chance any two-stroke stands at this point, indoors, with the current rules is a 250SX KTM in the 450 class, at Toronto (small shitty track, small rider turn out)

I raced amateur day at the Cedar Park, tx round and a 125 is perfectly capable of being competitive in arenacross. There are 85s that do the triple triple sections and the finish line! Seat bounce and a little throttle and you get over anything. The woops are easier to do on a 2stroke than a 4 because they are lighter.

So you are comparing hitting the booter on amateur day on a 125 to being competitive in the pro glass and banging bars with Zack Ames, McDade, Bowers and company?

Nice comparison, but no comparison.  A 125 is completely outmatched in that little arena.  Imagine someone coming up on your inside and stalling just a little bit of your momentum...  stopping other peoples momentum is what Arenacross is all about. That's 90% of the racing.

The track is the exact same on pro day as it is on amateur day. You don't need a ton of power in arenacross. A bike that handles good is the best thing. A 125 with low to mid porting is plenty capable in pro class. I was at an arenacross race once were Sean Hackley placed 3rd on a borrowed bone stock yz 125 and it was against guys that race the arenacross and supercross lites pro classes, like matt boni and lance Vincent
