I forgot they are a case reed motor.

Have just managed to convert a mate from the dark side.
Had his first ride last sunday 130km of hill country on his 08 KX250.
Yes great bike.
Loves it .He cant believe the weight difference when riding hard over serious ruts and rocks.
In the air he is now in control of the bike not the bike in control of him. Came off a 400F
Its the first ride hes had where on the monday his body isnt stuffed.
We were not mucking around either.

Pull your exhaust off and check the ring is free. You can use a small srewdriver to push against the ring.It should be free in the groove.
Next take off your ignition cover. Put a socket on the flywheel. With the plug out slowly turn over the motor to see if there is any point the motor feels it is sticking. If it feels like the motor has a notchy feel check to see what position the piston is in. That should give you an idea whats wrong.
Let us know what you find.

It might pay to pull the reed valve out as well to check the intake side.

Your right jetz.
I only put 2/S for the minis because that is the only motor that will work.
Unless you can fit a 12 speed gearbox in the frame. Only way you will keep in the powerband on a 20,000rpm 4/S lol

Your right . The classes need to be sorted out.
And they need to be put in stone with no changing from year to year.
That way manufactors can develop a bike and know they can sell it for a set number of years.
My sugestion:
65cc 2/S
85cc 2/S
125cc 2/S or as some have sugested  150cc 2 & 4 Stroke
250cc 2 or 4
Open, anything goes.
