Wayne Gardner is a 2 stroke fan  Grin

He always has something interesting to say.
Read the first and last paragraphs.

I totally agree with Wayne Gardner. He should know by now because he rode that NSR500 so damn hard he crashed his brains out more than anyone in the 500 class. I loved how he rode that thing. :P

Well right now most nations have their own 250GP and 125 GP championship series. We (USA) have USGPRU, and you can race these bikes in WERA, CCS, and others. The UK (from what I heard) has UKGPRU, and last I knew they were racing under BSB in their own class. And for Australia, I have no clue. Does any one know?

I think 125GP and 250GP racing will still be around for a while. Although Honda has gone price gouging and stopped producing most parts. Yamaha has always been expensive in the parts department, but should still produce parts till about 2019. On a good note you can get after market parts for the RS's (Honda) and TZ's (Yamaha).

I've seen this bike for the last few years and for some reason it still looks the same, half built. Does anyone know if Two Stroke Shop ever finished this or did they just throw it in the back of the shop somewhere?

A 2 liter V-8 2-stroke engine is my idea of fun, that's 8 CR250 or KTM 250 cylinders. Now I just have to find a shit box car to dump it in.  :P

Or I could use 125 cylinders and get a 1 liter V-8. That would be nice in a prototype racecar if rules would allow it.  8) Is it crazy yes, but is it impossible.. hell no!!

My favorite F1 cars are from the Turbo era in the mid 80's.During qualifying they had over 1500hp out of a 1.5 liter V-6 and pushing 75PSI with no wastegates. They ran 94% Toluene and 6% heptane to get an octane rating of 102 which is the max the rules allowed. I just wish they still ran those fire breathing monsters.

WOW, wait a minute. Honda might of not produced the 400cc EXP-2, but the did produce the CRM250 AR in Japan. It made 40hp because of Japan's HP regulations.

Go to this site to read up on it- http://www.crm250.com/

The AR bike made more torque than the Mk3 bike (4.0kg/m vs 3.8 kg/m). And it was just as light.

Don't worry my BS alarm went off back in 2001 with the MotoGP class.

I hear the kids riding STOCK Moriwakis in USGPRU like them and you don't have to do much up keep to them. Well, NO SHIT!!! It's STOCK!!! They don't race stock TZ or RS 125's in the USGPRU, their pushing 50+ hp. Try doing that with a CRF250R engine it's not going to last long and it's going to cost a boat load to fix the smashed head when the piston decided to have enough.

The Moto2 class is a complete joke. They wanted a 150 hp 600cc Honda engine, that would be reliable. I haven't seen a 150 hp 600 yet. The max I've seen is about 130-135 at the rear wheel and that's not going to last long. I've seen them race once, but I had to force myself to watch.

I can't believe they have the balls to just out right ban the 2 stroke with out a fair fight. This is a disgrace to the racing world. Then again I hope it bites them in the ass, and it will at some point.

Totally agree with ya 2smoker, I won't buy anything Honda. Although I like the EXP-2, so maybe I should build a bike like it. I like to steal Honda's two stroke designs and engine parts. ;D

Reason number.... um...(I lost count a long time ago) why Moto GP SUCKS!!!

Read this: http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2010/Grand+Prix+Commission+announce+rule+amendments+in+Brno

Another reason why racing on a world scale sucks, I hope Dorna burns in hell for this. So I wonder who's going to build the Moto 3 engines. Maybe we should have a poll on who's going to be the engine builder, I'm thinking Honda.

Reading some of the Vital posts really gets me revved up. Are people that blind sided to say the 4 stroke engine is better. How is it better when it is TWICE as large as a 2 stroke, are these people frigging kidding me or are most Americans that frigging dumb. And I always thought I lived in a free country with equality. Well I guess not! Ok, I better stop before I go a little over board.

I like this one from Al.

It sure beats the hell out of calling up and screaming!

This is the same guy from the You Tube video screaming at a road racer privateer. I'm not sure what that poor privateer did to piss him off, but it probably wasn't good, but who knows there's always two sides to a story. If I was Al I would of never lit off like that, because yelling and screaming in someones face or on a telephone doesn't get anything accomplished. It's bad business ethics, remember Al that the AMA is a company, do the most successful companies yell and scream at their customers. NO!!

Now lets see if this rule change will happen, only time will tell. If the AMA had good business ethics they would pass this rule change no problem.

Other than that Good job Burn1986 and I really hope you get the change you want. I support it 110% because it's a step in the right direction. Keep up the good work.

I don't have many recent pics of me, but I did find some when I was in the local volunteer fire department back in CT. I have since moved to Arizona where it's hot as hell.

This is from 2009 with the Guys from the Discovery Show Firehouse USA.

Just a picture of me.

And me goofing off, destroying things.

I don't have any pics of any of my past dirt bikes, although I wish I took a picture of my 1983 RM125. :(

I would like to get my hands on a NSR500V. A 500cc V-2 with 145 hp, now thats 72.5 hp out of a 250cc jug. Now multiply that by four and you got your 1000cc 2 stroke engine. Now 290 hp would be a tire burning ass end sliding motorcycle.

I heard that Aprilia's and KTMs 250cc GP bikes made over 120 hp, divide that and you have yourself their 125 pushing 60hp. Though I heard Aprilia has pushed 65 hp out of those little suckers, not sure if that's true or not but wouldn't surprise me that they did. Now if Aprilia made (and if it was legal in MotoGP) a 500, that bike would be around 240hp.

Now you can't compare a piston port YZ250 to anything ridden on the street or paved track, because every modern 2 stroke bike(if they made them for the street) would be running either case reed valve or rotary valve engines. Plus Yamaha just updates the YZ with BNG or some port and suspension changes every year. About every European dirt bike has a case reed induction engine, just look at Maico, Gas Gas, KTM, TM, ect, ect. Yeah the YZ's technology is a little old but it still works for them although the other engines smoke it in the hp department.

Now we can take the Maico 250's at 56hp and times that by 4 and get 224 hp. That's just by putting a set of Maico jugs on a custom case from a MX bike. I'll never ever see a GSXR1000 make 224hp unless it's seriously modded by Suzuki themselves for World Superbike or MotoGP.
