This is my project, kawasaki kx 250 AF, is nearly finished just missing a few details.

That is so cool! I want to do one when I'm older (and have enough money!) Did you have to do any cuts or welds to the frame?

If there has been clear frame modification whole morning with more time will put some pictures of the process.
I'm doing everything myself except the chassis welds, if all goes well this week you can start, I rebuilt the whole engine, connecting rod, crankshaft, piston, cylinder, bearings .... With patience is not very expensive make a kx AF, here in Spain the work of modifying chassis tig welding work and all the work around has not reached 300 ?

This seems due to poor quality aluminum, is that the welds are well but aluminum was broken using aluminum should be no gap 7075 and SOLID!
This is what I and used and this alone costs 40 ? at wholesale prices!

Did not mean to offend. Although frame rail and material selection and welding technique and heat treatment before and after welding is especially important for aluminum, I think the head stay design is more crucial to keep undue load off the frame rails and proper loading on the rest of the frame. The guy in the link I provided didn't get it right. I bought my Service Honda KX500AF back in "08" and so far so good. Did a 30' vertical drop off a cliff and the frame survived! Blew out the fork dampners and a large list of other damage. I was on the list too! Lol! Probably have about 200 hours of brutal Nevada desert riding so far. Aluminum is tricky business and SH seems to have it figured out at least on my machine. Good luck on your build!

Thank you very much mate, hopefully no problems, so far everything is going perfectly, I have spent months working with her and I'm very happy, I passed from all ... receptions up jumps, drop jumps, double .. . and at first I was scared but really it's all very robust and this as the first day.
