2-stroke World Championship - MXA
« on: March 31, 2011, 07:22:13 AM »
Here's a pretty good write-up by MXA on this weekends's 2-stroke race.

http://www.motocrossactionmag.com/Main/News/WHO-WILL-WIN-THIS-WEEKENDS-WORLD-TWOSTROKE-MOTOCRO-6823.aspx

Also, here's some back and forth on the current 2-stroke stuff on VitalMX. Davey Coombs chimed in since the AMA was mentioned and gave his baloney replies. The main topic is about creating a 125 series. MotoGrady made some good pionts about the trouble of getting a wide spread 125 class started even though there is a lot of interest.

I thought it was the 125 series from across the pond, the Glen helen race is still good, even tho small local tracks are having a bigger turnout for 1 off 2-st races. Why are we not starting a 2-st series ? A perfect place in the midwest, is the RacerX vet series , classes 18a,b to 70 plus, Aztalan in Lake mills Wi. had a 125  35a class added to 1 round , with 1 week notice and 3 inch per hour rains, the track still had 35 riders sign up , the winner got a pbr beer. haha just for fun race. I heard of other 2-st only races, they have a 1week notice, which isn,t enough time.

So, who is going?? Someone has to get footage of Ryan Hughes riding a YZ 144. That will be amazing to see, Ryno riding a tiddler in the pro class against 250 and 300 cc two strokes. I hope Ryno can win on the little bike !!
