Sunline Vince V3 clutch and brake levers-
Almost indestructible, and very smooth action. I have crashed countless times with these levers, they just pop out of position, and then right back in.

Supersprox Tri-Metal rear sprocket-
Starting season 3 on this sprocket, along with an OEM front sprocket and a run of the mill 0-ring chain... no visual wear at all. This sprocket seems like it might last forever.

Technical / Hunt for the ultimate sand paddle
« on: April 09, 2010, 09:46:36 AM »
I ride sand pretty regularly, I'll admit the area I ride is no glamis, but the sand can be dry and deep, and there are some half ass technical climbs that wind around trees and ledges. I have been buying a different paddle tire every season trying to find that better tire.

This year I am running a Cheng Shin Surge P for the first time. So far it is performing much better than anything else I have tried. The paddles seem slightly wider, and thicker that the average and it makes excellent traction. I find myself leaning alot more forward to keep the front end down, where as previous tires had me sitting on the back of the seat for more hookup. I have to ride over some rock and roots to get into the sand so durability plays a big role for me as well, and this tire seems to be robust enough to take it. It felt like a heavier and stiffer carcass when mounting the tire, and the broader paddles show no chunking after several trips in. I am totally impressed with this tire so far, and would happily recommend it to anyone

Technical / Re: Seat Cover and graphics

I did my seat cover a few years ago with a One Industries replacement.. it was pretty easy to get the seat to stretch on properly. Finding a staple gun that would actually pierce the plastic seat's underside was the challenge. Eventually I borrowed a 110v electric stapler from a crafty friend of my mom's that worked very well.

As for the graphics kits... I was told to lightly mist the plastic with warm water just before applying the decal, this will help you make small corrections and to remove bubbles. This is how I did my complete kit on my CR250, it turned out very well, and has lasted for several years now. Unfortunately I snapped a rear fender last season so I am only running some of the kit.

Thanks John, and 2smoker
Here is a pic of my bike from last year

Polished frame, Platinum2 pipe, One Industries plastic, Sunline Vince V3 levers, Supersprox Tri-Metal rear sprocket.
And new for this season... Renthal Fatbars, freshly rebuilt forks, and a CS SurgeP paddle tire.

Today may actually be my first ride of the season, there`s still a little frost and ice around but my buds and I are determined to tear up some dirt! 2smoker, do you ever go to Brule Lake?

Hey guys, I have been reading here for a month or so and decided to join. I enjoy the discussion base, and 2 stroke enthusiasm here. It`s refreshing in a thumper mindset forum world.
I ride an 07 Honda CR250 in the summer, and a Polaris 900RMK through the snowy months.
Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself. I look forward to jumping into the threads.
