The truth will prevail I would like to see the same test on the KTM their two stroke has a different rear suspension.

What I find most funny is that they are comparing a bike that has not been touched in a decade to a bike that is constantly updated, and the the yz250f still lost... :o

I ride an 03 yz250, wait 04, wait 05, what ever, they're all the same #$@% YOU!

The 90's technology of a two stroke > 2010 technology of a four stroke

Now if only the free CC's that were given to four strokes were given to the two strokes.  Hell, even 100cc's for the 450 (250) class, I'd be happy.  Just the thought of a 2012 RM 350 2 stroke with the new frames/suspension/weight reductions, make me tingle, haha.

I reckon an extra 30cc on a 250 smoker would be ample i reckon, most of us normal people would still find a standard 250 enough of a handful, i know i do.
But the sound of an RM 350 two stroke, or any other for that matter does make me smile :D :D
F**K THE WHALES......................SAVE THE 2 STROKE!!!!

The hardest part about riding a 4 stroke is telling your parents your Gay!!

I was thinking the same.  30cc would be close to enough to level the playing field, but with 100cc's the powerband could be tamed to match that of a 250, but give the torque curve of the 450 4's.  A whole new engine, just like the thumpers got in the late 90's, early 2000's.

Well hell, we don't even need 2010 two-stroke technology to be competitive.  Take an old 450cc engine, put that in a modern frame with modern suspension and brakes, tune it up a bit like any good racer, and I guarantee you'll be more potent than a 450F.  Or, like you guys have been saying, something in the 350cc territory would do.  And really, once you get above 350cc or so, if you're really on the powerband and doing your damnedest to give it all she has, no one's going to catch you on a 500 unless they have enough space to get into the higher gears.  Their reward for extra cc's is going to be the ease with which they can fly around the track at warp speed.  As many riders unfamiliar with the 500's ways have found out, if you hammer it and ride it like a 250, not only will you be putting your life in serious jeopardy, but you will also probably go slower than if you took it easy and lunged about on waves of torque.

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

Anything from 300cc to 360cc or so would be a weapon in the right hands. :D
Would be nice for one of the smaller companies to bring one out again.
