Boyeson Rad Valve installed, bit of spluttering.
« on: July 22, 2012, 03:41:22 AM »
I have just installed a Rad Valve on my 91 CR 125.
Man it made a big difference to bottom end power.
I took it for a ride on the dirt road leading up to my house so i could get a bit of speed up to see how she went.
I noticed at about 1/2 to 3/4 throttle it would start spluttering a bit, which it didn't do before.
I have set my float level, main jet is 172,slow jet is 58 and needle clip is on 3rd(middle)groove.
I am about approx 500 feet above sea level.
Bike normally starts first or second kick.
Any ideas what could be be causing this?
Cheers,
Greg

Sounds a bit rich in the midrange, try lowering the needle one notch.

I'm guessing you mean second groove from the top ?
