The 2011 YZ-125 on the front of this site is awesome to say the least! For a while I was a little "pissed off"at Yamaha for bringing the YZ-400f out in 1998,actually 97 when Doug Henry raced the first YZM-400 4-STROKE but even now in 2010 Yamaha is still making the 125 & 250 2-strokes which in my opinion is their saving grace.I mean after all they were the first company to start this 4-choke mess to begin with!However since they are still making the kick ass YZ-125 & YZ-250 IN 2011 KUDOS to Yamaha for not letting their GREAT running and good handling 2-strokes go the way of the other Japanese brands like Honda & Kawasaki!From what I've read some people can still buy Suzuki RM-250's in Europe but I'm not 100% sure about that?None the less Thankyou Yamaha for still making the YZ's because they are great bikes for sure!!!!!!!

I just want to ask TMKIWI and anybody else who is familiar with the Italian TM-300's which I think are beautiful machines and I know have to be stone reliable how do they run?No doubt like a "ROCKET"!Just was wondering how they run & the characteristics of the powerband?Is it similiar to the KTM 300's & other European 2-strokes?

General Two Stroke Talk / A Little Info ON The New MAICO'S!

I just recently sent out an e-mail to Rich at Dirtwurx asking him for a little info on the new bikes,ie(approximate price,whether they are German or British etc.) He e-mailed me back stating that the new Maico's basic frame & engines are still being built by Kostler in Germany and the U.K. guys are doing the R&D and are either building or buying all of the good parts that we see in the brochures.He also stated as did some members of this site that they  have a deal in place with Maico U.K. to import the bikes but are still working on the DOT legalities & that will probably take a few months or so.Rich said this is going to be done on a very small scale at first,strictly distributor direct.This is all GREAT news to me as a fan of the Maico brand as it should be to other fans of this unique dirtbike.The only somewhat negative info which I expected is the price of between 10k to 12k or maybe a bit less for a 250 or 320 which should be expected due to the dollar/euro and dollar/pound exchange rate these days!However,at least to me this is wondeful news & in these bad economic times I don't have any problem whatsoever with that price for such a unique & AWESOME 2-stroke MX or enduro bike that is 2-stroke reliable! "The beauty is in the simplicity"!!!!

From my understanding the 2010 Maicos' are only being offered with black or white plastics.I recall the 2009 models were red & were suppose to have different graphics options.If anyone has any new info on the 2010 Maicos, from Maico International please let me know? I'd like to see one with black plastic also.

The 2010 Maico motorcycles are really great looking bikes but I was just wondering if they are being built by Maico International from the German built frames,engines,etc.? Is Maico Int.getting the parts off of Axel Kostler or building them in Great Britain?

I check TSM's site everyday because I'm practically dying to see the new 2010 MAICO tested! I would also like to know how much they will cost if & when they get to the United States?

  I can't wait to see the test ride on one of the new MAICOS.I'd also like to get a estimated price on the 500 mmx & see one with all black or red plastic.
