Cool pics, you just need to rephrase them, to lapping riders and that,s me 60 feet in the air.hehe Your Lucky to be racing, in Green Bay Wisconsin yesterday we had over 17 inches of snow, strong wind, rain, sleet, freezing rain oh yeah.

Wow, I'd never thought that we'd be racing here and you guys are suffering the weather!!

I have chance to get hold of another CR125. An 07 with 3 hours on, with some enigine work (different piston and some minor tuning). IF i was to get it, I'd have 2 awesome little bikes for the price of one big ugly thumpthump.................who doesnt love 2 strokes!!!???

Technical / Re: 2006 Honda CR125 Low End Bog?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking and also what other people have said but I thought I'd try the 'specialists' on here too. I have a one tooth bigger sprocket so I will throw than on first then try two if that isnt enough.

Thanks for your help :-)

Myck...
Good thinking!!!.......that will be my first option!!! Less work!!!!!!!  ;)

2006 (in title  :) )

Coming out of slow, tight turns when the throttle is opened it just doesnt have the revs until I feather the clutch then eventually it does come then its brilliant.

Technical / 2006 Honda CR125 Low End Bog?
« on: March 01, 2011, 02:18:19 AM »
Hi Guys. I raced my CR for the first time on Sunday and found that right off the bottom there is an almighty bog (probably renowned for this). Its all standard apart from a HGS pipe. Is there an easy solution to eliminate or reduce it? Gearing or something? All help greatly appreciated.

CooL bikes EVO550, I think someone might like big hp bikes.hehe  Hey OD11  the icat  was a bigger improvement on the 04, but that bike needed hp and throttle response is no where near the 06,s. The icat on the 06, works pretty good, throttle response is quicker, and once into the mid range, it sounds like a  gp 125. You know the sound, that right there it,s the worth the money. I got the last icat in the USA, from Alaska, the icat is not made anymore, a smaller cheaper version is supposed to be coming out. I would  get the icat, better throttle response, uses less fuel, if jetting is a little off it will still run good. Ps  I run 110 leaded 50/50 with pump gas in the 06.

I'm going to keep an eye out for an iCat and see if I can pinch one for cheap money. I want that sound!!! hahaha!!!

I use Shell Optimax fuel (98 Octane) along with Maxima K2 and Maxima Hi Test Octane booster which takes it up to 101 Octane and it runs sweet as a nut. Along with an NGK iridium plug, I find its awesome!!
