Hi there fellow two-smokers!

So it really came to this. I was racing both MX and Enduro, and the results were constantly better in Enduro and Cross-country, than they were in MX. Me and my dad decided that it's now time for giving a shot for Enduro. My dad has always liked Enduro better, and he has always tried to talk me to ride that. And the enduro thing is pretty big here in Finland, so everything kinda seems good about it. Also, I find myself having a lot more fun riding those races and training for it than in MX!

Here is the bike as it is now:

What we have done the bike for now: A friend of mine softened the suspension up for enduro.

What we still have to do: Getting the bike to produce it's own electricity for lights. That ain't too hard, we can buy a ready, pretty much bolt-on kit for that. There shouldn't be any problems with that. Then ofcourse, the lightmask and the tail for licence plate. No biggie!

Skidplate - can't find good one for reasonable price from Finland, and really haven't found one from anywhere Europe. Second thing is that the bike has to have a solid side stand. Don't know a word for that, but I can't seem to find that for RM 250 from Finland, and don't know any other European shops so I could buy that from there... One thing we could do, is to build it ourselves/convert others models stand for our bike.

So all Euro guys or someone who knows something about these, links for shops that sells those would be much needed!

Any suggestions/thoughts/experiences about this kind of stuff?

acerbis has most of your plastic needs along with cycra and ufo. theyll have your brush guards fenders and lights. works connection will have skid plates rad support/guards,

How do you plan on putting the head light in? Your going to need a battery of some sort, or your going to have to do some major modifications so that you can run an alternator to power the light. I have seen it done, but the battery would probably be the easiest for you. That is unless there is something I'm missing that they just started making  :<img src=" title="Roll Eyes" class="smiley">

Yeah, stator with a lighting coil will do that. We have already found that from here. Thanks for the sidestand link, but I'd love to get that from EU too! You can add immediatly 23% for those prices, Finland has ridicolous taxes. There wouldn't be any tax added if it's from inside of EU. That skidplate looks sick tho!

Have you considered adding a flywheel weight?  It really give you a more manageable power band "hit".  Its most effective is the wet, root infested trails.  It doesn't really seem to lessen the hit, just makes it more manageable.  Also it does not take anything off the top end.  The best way to describe it, is it slows down how quickly the power spools up.  That slowing of the spooling in many cases will help reduce wheel spin and allow you to put the power to the ground to get through and over some difficult obstacles

If a pair of 2" brass balls isn't working, I doubt that the 3" model will make much difference.

Handguards, Skid Plate, Radiator Guards FMF Gnarly Pipe, and if you so desire, a lighting kit.  Depending on how well you ride the power of your RM, V-force Reeds, or Boyesen reeds will wake up bottom end power and compliment the FMF pipe nicely.

I was going to suggest that , But if he is putting in a lighting kit I would asume the flywheel on that kit would be heavier anyway.

the lighting kit is a rewound stator. it fit right under the stock flywheel

My RM has to be 100% enduro ready for 26.2... So that's our deadline. Things are getting there, step by step!

Those US style things can take a tree branch at 40mph.  those mud gaurds you are referring to are made just for that.  roost.  not branches.

didnt you say you would be racing in the woods?  just checkin.
