TSM's Future and you.
« on: December 19, 2010, 10:02:09 AM »
I want to thank you guys for all of your support through the transition.
I have been considering direction for TSM, and have so many ideas and plans.
But I think you guys should be involved, in all of it. If you would like.
I am taking on alot by myself, any and all help is welcome and appreciated.
I am looking to have a 'team'. The more people behind TSM the farther it will reach.
What kind of team?
Andrew Cameron has offered his media editing, it appears Toby Opferman may have too? We will have lots of media coverage coming in 2011!
I am looking for help with anything you guys want to help with.
Guest Editorials, Idea's, Suggestions, web design, graphic design, Tech articles, photography, anything is welcome.
TSM is about the 2 Stroke fans, why shouldnt the fans be able to giude TSM's future? You Can. :)

We will be doing some sponsorships, as well as a race team in 2012.
Unsure about this year, we will have to see how things go. May not be possible unless some sponsors are involved.
We have some strong support and can take this as far as you, or I can imagine.

Feel free to comment, or send a e-mail to charles@twostrokemotocross.com
Thanks Guys!

I already said it, but just like I told John, just let me know what you need help with and if it's something I can do, I will gladly do it. I appreciate your enthusiasm and passion and think you will do good things with the site.

Awesome! Thank you Mike, I'm trying to get all these plans 'out on paper', so I can see exactly I need to get done, and where. :)

The best article I've read on this site is the one where this guy took a 2001 CR 125 and modded it and competed in the expert vet class. The writing was good and the level of detail he provided on the mods made was excellent. It's one of the best dirt bike pieces I have ever read. Stories like this, one or two a month, would keep me coming back.

I would think whoever is editing the site could plan for such by asking readers to submit stories or at least provide leads. It's not easy to get good copy like this but it's possible if planned. Lots of guys on this site are building and racing bikes. What made this story great was he had lots of details about the mods and then lots of details about his races.

The problem tho, without a full time editorial staff and budget/time for such things need to solicit articles.  It's a lot of work to get an article of that quality, not only for that article was time and money spent just doing the project but writing up an article is also very time consuming, otherwise the writer would come off sounding like a cave man.  "Me mod bike buy parts.  Run fast, win!"

Even just knowing something is a lot of time involved let alone if you have to do/buy something!  That's one of the reasons IMHO for this thread, if any of us have done something or are going to an event, doing a write would help the site.  John made a simmilar call out a while back and if you noticed a lot of the most recent articles on the site were starting to be a paragraph or less with a link.  That's b/c it takes a LOT of effort to write articles and if you're the only one doing it then attempting to keep the site full of recent articles is time consuming.  If you're doing other things on top of that, when do you have any time to write an article?

BTW, if anyone was wondering if I took the exhaust off for the photo, I have 5 exhausts sitting in my garage :)
