150/ 144 vs 250Fs shootout!
« on: May 28, 2010, 11:19:42 AM »
Dirt Rider Magazine Or Dirtrider.com

I sent an email to several magazines (including at least 5 online requests to MXA) to ask them to do the 144cc against the 250Fs and Dirt Rider (Jimmy Lewis) replied to me in an email. He didn't commit to do the test but said that it would be fun since he would get to ride the 2 strokes. I guess the point is that Dirt Rider actually responded within about 48hours of my submission. Anyway, I will keep ya'll posted on the outcome. I think it is totally cool that I actually got a response.

05/58/2010 - I have talked to Jimmy Lewis and he is not only excited about it, but he is committed to it. He has started getting everything together and I sjhould here something soon as to when it is coming out. I'll keep everyone updated!

Great news! I'd be very curious to see how the KTM150 stacks up in a thorough test, including lap times. One thing though, as a Cycle World subscriber i can tell you that Jimmy Lewis when he was dirt editor was a big proponent of the 4 stroke takeover. His 4 stroke bias used to constantly piss me off as a matter of fact.

Interesting to note that in that particular test, all of the males got better lap times on the 2stroke. Only the female rider had faster lap times on the 4stroke. From this might one infer that 4strokes are machines better suited for womenfolk, while 2strokes are what real men should ride? Okay, okay, don't shoot me, all you 2stroke loving women out there, I know that was a terribly sexist remark, I just couldn't resist :-)
