This is a custom freestyle bike that was customized by Jesse James & crew of West Coast Choppers for the Metal Mulisha team. Ronnie "Kung Fu" Faisst rode it for a couple of passes in the 2005 Summer X Games. It only has a handful of miles on it. After his run, the bike was retired and given away as the grand prize in a contest put on by the D.V.S. company. There were many sponsors in on the project. Don't look for this type of machine on any showroom floor. With an estimated $34K in aftermarket parts and technology, this thing is a beast. The frame is reinforced. The engine is built. Engine Customization & labor valued at approximately $20K. The suspension kit (front forks and rear shock) is around $10K. Add another $2K in special racing parts. (Thanks to former shop manager Bill Swift for breaking this down for me back in the day) None of these numbers included the price of the donor stock model CR 250R. You can do the math and quickly realize what a bargain this would be for the opening bid. (This is a no reserve auction) Almost everything is chrome, polished or anodized. It has a complete FG3 Diamond Suspension on it front and back, FMF Exhaust, steering dampner, custom seat, D.I.D. rims, custom air brushed plastics, modified air box, and hours of polishing. (swing arm, frame, brakes, kick starter, etc.) It's been sitting in my living room for 6 years now. Time to let someone else enjoy it. I'm 55 and way too old for it now. Short term storage not a problem. I'll work with you or your shipper in any way that I can. I'm recently retired and my schedule is extremely flexible. I've been on ebay 11 years and still have perfect feedback. Thanks for your time and consideration. Good luck.

Well the first line says it all...that's why he's claiming so much in the mods...I wonder what the hourly shop rate would be? 20K for 3 hours worth of work...just a little over $7K per hour. I'm going to go out on a limb and say they outsourced the cylinder and head work. All they would have done is assembled all the parts.

I must agree...it does look hideous...fire may not be enough...

Way over priced and butt ugly.  I was looking at it thinking what could be done to correct the "look". Of course all new plastic, seat, rims etc., The cost of replacing the unwanted items, plus their ridiculous price...  this bike will be a no sale.

The opinions in this thread clearly express the difference between "collectors" and "riders".  Period.

I can say with certainty that there is a motocross enthusiast out there, who makes 250K per year, and watched Crusty back in the 90s when he was in college, who WILL pay the asking price for that, and put it on top of the wet bar in his house.  This is not a bike you buy and race Vet C with at Lost in the Woods Motocross Park in Arkansas.

I would get it in a heartbeat, hang a disco ball above it, and everyone from Crusty 1-4 would sign it EXCEPT Deegan.

i remember years back, like 04 TWMX test hamblins RM250, the cover stated the bike cost 40 or 60k to build. The factory suspension is way better than anything an average joe will touch even with A kits. and the motor from other stories of factory bikes ( rick johnson was talking about his old CR250, it had no vibration at all! imagine that on a newer cr250) a lot of one off parts are built for race bikes from special transmissions, magnesium cases, titanium pegs, and so forth. The actual cost of parts for a factory bike could easily tip the scales at 30k and not including labor.

but thats a factory bike. jesse james can go eff himself. someone got robbed for an image unless there are some really nice parts on the bike other than the custom shrouds

I don,t care for the shrouds and plastic, but it,s still better lookin than a ktm. If a curent fmx rider could get it for 8k, that would be a steal for him. West coast choppers, that,s just name branding,I,m sure they didn,t do any mods to it.

Thats a pretty trick bike i reckon. I'd love to own that.
Depending on who's putting the hours in, labour can cost a small fortune.
I'm pretty sure i could rack up 20G on a motor build if i had no limit.

I still watch crusty 1-3 atleast once a week  :D and they didnt have hacked up bikes like this , they were riding stock looking 93-96 mxer's  with a black fender here and there. No cut seats or airboxes or hideous schemes on the bikes but I see what your getting at because they did go that way in later years of fmx which is retarded in my opinion to begin with . I think old crusty vid's were of freeriding and the newer ones are freestyle metal ramp jumping gayness .  :<img src=" title="Roll Eyes" class="smiley">

although it is ugly, and it is expensive, that is Ronnie Faist's CR.  He was one of the originators, as in Crust Demons of Dirt #1, been there since day one.

Never heard of Ronnie Faist until a few years ago and his name is not on the credits or anywhere else for  thatmatter on  crusty 1 ,2 or 3 . The originals are Seth Enslow , Larry Linkogle , Mike Metzger , Brian Manley , Rusty Setzer . If Ronnie Faist was there from the beggining he was in the background not being mentioned what so ever throughout the 1st few crusty's.

He was there.  I think he lived in the same shitty house with Linkogle.  I am pretty sure he is in Crusty 4, doing "kung fu" in the front yard.

Hi guys out there in Two Stroke land.

Especially to Eric Provenzano how are you all doing. Well guess what? I bought it and yes I will be returning all the plastics back to original. I shall also be riding the bike, the way I figure it. this bike is a once in a lifetime come across or buy. It is all quality it is a 300cc fully worked,it has a high performance clutch and fantastic suspension, brakes etc. The only thing standard on the whole bike is the frame, and that has been meticulously polished A1. Its also mega blinged out.

I am getting it crated and shipped here to Oz. Should be here within 60days. I am in the last stages of rebuilding my Yz250 01 and I have already spent $2500.00 It has been rebuilt from the wheels up nothing fancy just replace everything from complete engine rebuild to suspension overhaul to all bearings replaced, tyres plastics etc. For me to do the Honda I would be looking at more than 10grand and I still need a CR250 to start with.

I shall get my CR 500AF next year now. Definitely buying it from USA just so much cheaper than here in Oz even with shipping and import taxes!

All my mates can not believe that I bought this bike, and they are all drooling, and of course wanting to ride it. I have a mate who is a freestyler and I will be taking pics of him in the air on this bike.

900.00 new york to perth 500 to crate the bike 650 gst and about 1000 import including agents fee the bike will be a tad under 10 grand but still cheaper than a new stock 250 yz. I am hoping it should be here in 45-60 days
