Some very promising news...
« on: July 05, 2010, 09:30:25 AM »
.. well maybe not so much news, but the beginning of an interesting "rumor".

A reliable source has mentioned that a Press Release will be distributed (possibly today (Monday)??) about a fall series for two-strokes....

Please keep this off of the other boards until the news is released. I will try to get you additional information as soon as possible...

Remember, media students, the biggest mistake you can make is to announce that news will be announced, without giving a date for the announcement.  The viewers (or readers) will hound you like Tiger Woods. :D

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

Or clever marketing, build hype and excitement, with only very small glimpses of detail. Remember "leaked" photos about this time last year of a bike with a rearward facing cylinder, an exhaust that exited rearward and intake at the front of the motor.

This will be much bigger and better than any new, heavy four stroke. Cant wait to hear about this new series. Its great the amount of change we are seeing at such a rapid rate. Even on a site like Vital, (I know, I dropped my standards and visited) but there are lots of guys on that site constantly raving about the benefits of two strokes and how the four strokes are killing our beloved sport. Good times.

Unfortunately, I have not heard anything else yet...

This news was told to me at Red Bud... there was supposed to be a Press Release by this past Monday..

Believe me, if I thought that they would not have released the PR I would not have posted it here yet..

From my source it sounded like it was a done deal, just left to be announced. As soon as I get additional information I will share it with you asap.

Man, that's just badass that we got "The Factory" on this board.  I can't get over that.
