Sounds like a Utahraptor.  Very fast and powerful, but rarely encountered in the wild in 2011.

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

In the early 90's Lorenz Merkle built some 530 Maico motorcycles.

This was called the Maico 530 "Side Car".

I have a lot of brochures from the 90s, I know he made a 320, 440 and even a 350 4 stroke (maybe even more).  The only > 500cc 2 stroke I found in the brochures is a 620 from 1995

In the mid 90's I recall looking at a picture of 545 (not 530) Maico,My brother had a 550 KTM at the time and I can't remember if it was a 87 - 93 or a 94 Merkle Maico but it did exist.
