Kick the japanese factories of the AMA board.
Drop the production rule.

Its crazy that the small manufactors can race in the World MX champs but cant in the US. :'(
Watch any race footage from Europe or Australasia and you see TM,Husky,CCM,Sherco etc racing. ;D
If you want to race a certain brand you should be able to. PERIOD.
If you don't fall off you are not going hard enough

As i said in a prevous post, Nothing against Yamaha.
I wish they would do something other then grafics to the bike.
It would be good to see some serious updates to what is a good bike.

A YZ is always near the top of my shoping list.
Would love to build a YZ285 enduro bike with yellow/black colour scheme.

I wont buy another KTM because I had nothing but problems with my last one

Same here. Sad :(. They're the only really good company that is putting some serious effort into two strokes right now. I just hope they get a bit more reliable with time.

I can't support the Euros because I can't race any of them in the nationals except KTM and I wont buy another KTM because I had nothing but problems with my last one. I thought about buying a 2011 but then changed my mind. I want to ride Kawi's!

Both of my KTM's were absolutely, positively bulletproof. They're the most popular bike by far for off road here and few have any issues.Nothing against Kawis but from what I've seen,I always considered them the bottom feeders of off road bikes-generally speaking.
I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

Maybe enduro KTM models are better, and they are very popular indeed. SX however, at least for me, was a great disappointment. It's a good machine if you have the money to keep it running though.

I had a 2000 125EXC and a 2002 125SX.Mind you,a few years ago, before the 4t invasion in MX,I heard the guys that ran the Canadian Nats for KTM had a pretty big parts budget-by necessity.Maybe I just wasn't capable of riding mine hard enough to do damage. :-X

The only reliability issues that I have noticed on my 2008 KTM-300xc as well as one of my freinds 09 KTM-450sx-f is that the seats on the bikes wear out relatively quick.Other than that every KTM that I've seen,ie,whether out riding the local trails or at the local MX tracks, when speaking to the owners of those KTM's they've always praised the reliability of their bikes! On another note everything that I've read in all of the major dirt bike mags about the Kawasaki's,especially their 4-strokes is always bad reliability issues with their bikes! And just ask anyone who owns or has owned a KX or KX-F about how well the seats hold up?LOL ;D ,Not to mention the issues Kawasakis have had with their 4-stroke engines!I will say, however that the 2-stroke KX engines are very, very FAST & POWERFUL though. :P

Back to the original question.
I spoke to my mate yesterday who is the local Yamaha/Kawasaki dealer and he said new graphics thats it.
As an aside he said he is having trouble selling anything in this climate. 2 or 4 stroke.
He will sell any of the MX bikes in stock for cost just to get rid of them.

The local Honda dealer is selling CRF's at cost to get them out the door.

It's a pretty sad market out there. :'(
