« on: July 18, 2012, 08:18:07 AM »
Hi guys

I'm looking for a quick turn throttle for my YZ125 12.
I had Domino quick throttle for my YZF250, but can't se that they got i for 2-stroke.

I have found this one in America.

Any one there have other options, where you can buy it in Europe?

Welcome to the forum.

I don't know about buying it in Europe but you could try ebay. Do you guys have ebay? Sorry I'm really unfamiliar with things in Europe.
Is the postage to Europe horrendously expensive? Cos you might end up having to bite the bullet and get it in from the states. I did a quick google search for one but all I got were forum links.
You could give the local dealers a shot maybe? They might be able to sniff around and find one. I'm not too familiar with GYTR parts but a GYTR one might be a step in the right direction if they even exist.

Good luck

I have also searched on google, no problem finding it to a 4 stroke, just not that easy to a 2 stroke. Don't think the GYTR has it. :)

Why can't you use the 4-stroke one? All it is doing is pulling a cable, aren't they interchangeable 2/4-stroke?

U usually can interchange them u just have an open hole for another cable. Buddy of mine did this when he swapped from quads to bikes. He still races quads every now and the and couldn't get used to the twist throttle so he put a thumb throttle on his bike. The thumb throttle is 2 cable push pull his bike is a single cable system works just fine

I find it amusing that four strokes have to be more complex right down to their bloody throttle setup. Juuuust sayin :P

The states must reaaally hate Aus then... Either that or our customs suck. On second thoughts... Our customs suck. It'd be no less than $40 to get it in here and thats STANDARD USPS :<img src=" title="Roll Eyes" class="smiley">

yes, customs suck but duty/tax is not payable on anything that comes in under 1k, including shipping. I have brought in stuff into oz and have had to deal with customs, including driving to port botany on 2 occasions to collect close ratio car gearboxes I have brought in (both out of the UK) and now I am in the US, have sent more than a couple of boxes the other way. Yes, it blows but in this case customs has nothing to do with it, the fact  that oz is 16,000km away and there are no options for 'ground' shipping has more to do with it.

16000? Wow I didn't think it was that many. Honestly though, to give them credit, I get my stuff pretty damn fast all things considered. Usually takes under a week.

bungbon throttles are cheap and awesome

I've bought a few of them in the past and Im pretty happy. they also fit straight onto the 2 stroke carb slides :D

you can also get them in a variety of different styles

-no buttons (switches)
-normally open or closed button (switches
-two buttons (one normally open and one closed)

great for a kill switch or starter motor etc

Id imagine youd need to spend over a hundred dollars to get something better than this.
but for an MX bike or race bike Id rather have a throttle thats so cheap I can keep a spare in my toolbox for if I crash.

I have a few of these and the cheapest Iv found is around $20 from a trustworthy scooter shop in South East Asia.
I bought it and didnt hear from him for months, turned out his whole town got whipped out in the huge floods they had. I got an email from him once they got their internet reconnected in the town and he gave me his word that once he got back on his feet he would send me the goods. Two months later they turned up ;)

Heres his throttle stock, and lots more to choose from other than the bungbon's (if the name turns you off haha)
