Snow. What a hoot.
« on: January 05, 2013, 11:22:21 PM »
Got a little cabin fever.  Fired up the yz250 and took a rip out in the snow.  About 8 inches on the flats much more in the drifts.  A little squirly at first but soon got a feel for it.   No screws in the tires, but it was probably the most fun I have had on a bike.   Played for an hour on a small hill breaking though crusted drifts, and laughing when I got stuck.

Well I am now the owner of a set of tires with ice screws, and hoping there will be some more snow.

I made my own :D haven't put them on the rim yet, I was waiting until the snow was going to stick around for a little while. This snow is almost all gone now...

This is my nephews tire,  going to stay out of his way.
I would of made my own but I found used tires on ebay for a little more then the price of screws and they had liners in them.

Maxis IT's are a little too stiff to remove at -10F.   Tire will not even unseat from the bead.
