Someone is offering me a few maico's. I want to check if the framenumber and engine numbers are ok. But i only found this page and it seems there is only one framenumber and engine number? Is that correct?

Is this a good investment they are asking for bids over 4000 euro. So maybe i can buy it for 4000 euro. Is it worth that? Does the 1982 gs model had twin shock? Different gearing i guess but can i use it on a mx track? Can i change gearing?

Sometimes funny. You hear and can read a lot about TM bikes here on this forum. But in Europe they are not that popular. Ktm by far most popular in Europe. TM is very popular in karting in Europe.
Tm will get in big problems when everybody is going to buy a Tm because it is a very small factory. Pedro Tragter (old gp worldchampion) father told me that KTM has the fastest 2 stroke engines.
Anyway although not very much Tm's in the Netherlands or Belgium i never heard a bad thing about Tm motorcycles.

I told you. Where does this all leads to? As i told you my brother prepares classic ferrari's for races. Those rich guys do the same thing. But motocross if not about this i hope.
What is next pneumatic valves, turbo's, desmodromic valves (works very good on small 4 strokes), longstroke engine or shortstroke engine for different tracs, carbon parts etc etc. What is the use of this?? Who for example needs a startengine on his 2 stroke?
Is was all that easy with the 2 strokes. The big factories are destroying their own market.
And does all this make you faster?

Told you. By the way look at Anaheim practise results. Roczen on 250 F would have been third time in 450 f class. His first time in US supercross. In the Netherlands we have Jeffrey Herlings he is even faster then Roczen in qualifying. And even younger then Roczen. 16 yeArs old. Again proof that 450 f are not faster then 250 f and today Soubeyras also proofed that 250 2 stroke can easily win. So conclusion. /it does not matter which bike you ride it is about the rider. Roczen practise time on a 250 faster then villopollo on his 450 f.

The cause? That cause that those big factories wants us to ride 4 strokes? And they only make 4 strokes and that the factoriy riders are being paid to ride them? And we want 2 strokes back in SX and so on. This will happen anyhow because the public demands 2 strokes looks at the amount of hits on Vital.
For the rest i really do not care so why should i support a 2 stroke in those commercial races? I like cedric being up there really i like it but should i pay for something that is going to happen anyhow? As far as i know motorcycles business is really very bad in Europe due to crisis and if the big factories want to sell morre bikes they have to produce what public wants and if they do not they will loose money and so on. I guess they are not that stupid.

I think the biggest problem is that he has to get used to his yamaha. 2 Strokes is not rocketscience and because of that we like them for their relative simplicity. And so on.
Thinking about rocket science i was at nuclear institute here in Siberia where a friend of mine teaches and works. They work on a project of nuclear fusion (Iter project US also involved i heard) that is really cool. They showed me all and i also saw real plasma. Not that i know what plasma is but i looked it up on a page called "plasma for kids" so i know now. I asked : are some things are not secret? He said uhhh maybe but you do not understand a thing so it does not matter. The amounts of energy needed for accelerators and plasma are insane. Really interesting.
But ok 2 strokes are not that. So if he, cedric, has to get used to the bike's suspension in 2 days that really could be a problem after him riding a KTM for so long.
Really i do not understand that KTM not supports him. Really they missed a huge opportunity i think.
