Geez i thought this was an open forum where anyone could express their views, Talk of mods deleting posts cause they think they might be inflammatory is BS.
Of course some people are going to express views that you might think are negative but thats their prerogative. If you don't like or agree with what someones said shoot them down with a reply not delete their post, isn't that the sort of behaviour your bagging the AMA for?
TotalNZ - You are correct this is an "open" forum where you are free to discuss your views, about two stroke motocross bikes. This is clearly stated in the Message Board Rules, which are extremely minimal when compared to any other forum that I know of. They can be read here,
http://twostrokemotocross.com/forum/index.php/topic,2.0.htmlWhat happened to spark this slash and edit fest was a few people telling me via this board and e-mail that I should delete a post that they did not think forwarded the ideas of this site. I disagreed with them and the thread began to spiral out of control.
You can see the posts that I edited by the tell tale little blurb at the bottom of a post, if you see something that looks like this, I've edited it.

Mostly you will see this on the bottom of my own posts, why? Because sometimes I type so fast that I make spelling errors and miss them when I proof read the post before hitting the post button.
Back to your post... I have absolutely NO problem with anyone expressing differing thoughts, in fact I welcome it! I know for a fact that I don't know everything and I'm open to listening to those with differing ideas and opinions. I may or may not agree or adopt this new information, but that is my choice. And that is the opportunity I desire for every visitor of this site.
As to your other post,
I've never seen a forum without gibberish, name calling and holier than thou attitudes. It's part in parcel with any public forum. People can make their own opinions on individuals and their post's, on an uncensored forum at least you know who the dickheads are by the crap they post.
Call me crazy or a dreamer, but I think that this place can be different. If that kind of stuff is your cup of tea, there are so many places where you can go to be with like-minded people. This would not be the place for you. My stated goal is to make this a fun, knowledgeable and respectful place where someone can talk about two-strokes. Ideas, thoughts and yes even disagreements are welcome.
Unlike other forums I ask that you just don't dismiss what someone else has said with one sentence and calling them names. Be a decent human being and write why you disagree. You just may teach them something new. Just realize that if there mind is made up and it's closed, there is nothing you can do to change it. My suggestion there is simple, don't respond to those posts.
Hondacrrider - Your post makes me feel proud to be a human being. Even though you are a younger than some of us on this board, you understand respect for others and are open to learning something new. I'm very glad that you are a part of this forum.
I absolutely love the very last line of your post... "What you post on here does reflect who you are in real life." You may be yound but you are extremely wise.
I do hope that I've clarified that. If you have further questions please feel free to post them here, PM or e-mail me. I'll be happy to discuss this more if you'd like.
