I've said it to you before and I'll say it again, ditch those old Hondas, and get a new YZ/KTM. :P
Oh believe me, I desperately want to, but the season is coming up so soon that I won't have time or money to buy another bike. This summer I plan on buying an 06 and up yz 125

So, it turns out I don't need to replace the piston, and I have leftover rings and clips from a rebuild I didn't do a while ago. My question is, will OEM rings fit with a wiseco piston?

No, they won't fit, I'd be surprised if they did.  The rings are manufactured to fit specified piston, the thickness and the pin within the piston groove.  generally, wiesco have cut outs on their rings while OEM generally are flat ended.  Wiesco rings are usually thinner than OEM.

Besides, if you have a weisco do they even make an OEM piston the same size as usually they are oversize beyond OEM, but not always.
Modest beginings start with a single blow of a horn, man.

I have had plenty of Wiseco pistons in OEM size. It is a very common "mod" with KDX220 owners to replace the OEM with a Wiseco, as the stock piston was prone to self destructing at the skirt.

Well the wiseco is stock size, but where would I then order wiseco rings?

wiesco
If a pair of 2" brass balls isn't working, I doubt that the 3" model will make much difference.

just call motosport and ask em, tell em what piston you have.

Do you use quility air filters and filter oil. Your lower rod bearing gets the brunt of dirt and could wear the bearing right out  just a idea. We rebuild cranks with prox rods they seem to last long and have good specs. WE get $119 for the rod kit and rebuild let us know if we can help.

Hot Rods are junk!!!! made in taiwan i do not recomend them to nobody !get a pro x rod kit its cheaper and they are made in japan good stuff !!! wiescos made in china (junk) i put a wiesco chain in a kx 450 (made in china) it lasted 4hrs i recomend oem stuff unless i see a pattern like a bad run of cranks, rods etc... so if you go order new parts from the dealer then you could be getting another bad one if they are having issues.
