What color frame?????? Suzuki rm250...
« Reply #15 on: February 25, 2013, 12:55:54 AM »
I used the spray can stuff. I had the bike stripped, and just painted the whole thing without plugging or taping off any holes. I can try to get a better pic of it when I'm in the shop later

EDIT:
I found a few pics of it

It looks really good, and nobody believes it's bedliner. It cost me $15 to do it and I had enough left over to do the rack on my KLX  ;D

Very cool. That is a nice option compared to the $180+tax quote I got today for powder coating....

i did rattle can on the rm i had. main problem i ran into was the paint easily chipping and flaking. however i didnt use a primer and i did only 3 coats. not saying it wouldve come out better. but powder coating will last longer than factory paint

The bedliner has lasted like the factory powder coat, and when it starts to wear through on the sides, you can touch it up in a few minutes.

Exactly! God looks down upon that black powder and says "thou art blessed".

Does anyone remember the '03 Team ECC RM125's?
They looked nuts in person.

I called NStyle about the kits to have one made, and they no longer even have the template.

I had another company make them up,  I started out as a factory replica then I also wanted to ride it soooo,  I had them copy the kit, replace a few sponsor logos,(michelin to dunlop ect) and it turned out great.  I only plan to ride it a few times tho...

*sigh* I am just too old school (or just old)? Why would you want to subsidize all those companies' advertizing budgets and make a clean motorcycle look like some sort of sticker magnet?

Yellow and Black is Where Its At. Don't need much else.

Pretty bike anyway!

Well the project started out just to freshen it up, but then I decided to replicate to a certain extent my favorite year of bike/theme that factory suzuki had and that was the 02/03 sobe suzuki's...  it will end up in my basement trophy room as a talking piece, plus I love to build bikes from the ground up
