Good god, don't you guys spray your bikes with WD40 after you wash them?

There is no need for spray paints and all that shit.  Wash your bike, and about every other ride, hit the pipe with an Scotch brite pad.  then spray some WD40 on it before you put it away.  It displaces water and keeps everything from rusting.  Buy the gallon jug of it at Lowes and use an old spray bottle.

It's your bike, do what you want with it, but I would never spray any sort of paint or anything on an FMF Factory finish pipe.
Agreed, not hard at all too keep a factory pipe lookin good.

I've found the ultimate plastic polishing deal is tyre shine. Works a treat for me.

You're not going to keep up with the finish on your FMF pipe?

Then why bother with all the powdercoat, cosmetics, and building the thing at all man?  Just ride it and let it rot. :(

Blowing your bike off with an air compressor, and a light coat of W40 will keep a bike looking new for so long.

Would'nt the WD40 make it oily and slick?

That's right.  Hit everything but your grips and your seat cover.  DRag your brakes on the way down to the starting gate or you're in for a surprise in the first corner.  Trust me.

alright guys so we have an electrical issue

I put a fresh plug in it and its not sparking, i dont know why.

Please let me know how i can fix this, besides going to a shop and spending over 150$ for 2 hours worth of mechanics time. (quoted by chip munn himself) JUST TO FIGURE OUT WHATS WRONG WITH IT

anything i can do to eliminate parts to see what they could and couldn't be?

any help would be appreciated

On steel  framed  bikes  sometimes   ya  have to  file  the  paint  off   where  the coil mounts.  To get  a good  connection   for spark.  I hope  it,s  something  small  like that  or   it,s   expensive   stuff   like stator, cdi.   I,m   no expert   tech  though.

Was it sparking BEFORE you put the fresh plug in there?

Had to ask...

And I assume no spark with the "old" plug either?

http://www.harborfreight.com/7-function-multimeter-98025.html

start with the basics

you have less than zero chance of troubleshooting it without a multimeter. Unless you systematically replace every part in the igntion system one by one.

This. Grab a multimetre, measure resistance. hopefully worst case scenario you need a new coil.

This thing sounds ridiculous, I can tell its going to blow me cr125 out of the water, running a little rich (seeping out of the head a little). Might drop the clip one and mess with the air screw. But she runs strong. Going to take it for a spin once I tighten some stuff up.

I can't quite run it yet, got most everything on after this video, need some hardware and need a chain guide then i'll ride it
