Budds Creek was…an experience. We are grateful for the good, and we learn from the bad.
We are grateful to have such wonderful support from our sponsors, our crew, our families, and our friends. None of this would be possible with out all the people involved.
On Friday, the team decided to get some extra practice in and rode at a local track well into the evening, our crew then went to work preparing the bikes for Saturday morning.
Nathen LaPorte #950, Robert Kraft #398, and new to the team Mike McDade #200 all went out in group B practice where McDade received 4th in qualifying with a time of 2:11, Kraft came in 11th with a 2:15 and Laporte 15th with a 2:17. In second practice, McDade took the 2nd spot with a time of 2:09. Kraft and LaPorte both had times of 2:14, coming 11th and 14th respectively.
In the LCQ, McDade ran into some trouble after coming down Henry Hill and he wrecked, putting him in the back of the pack. Luckily he was not injured and was able to complete the lcq and finished in 34th. Kraft finished his day in 10th and LaPorte in 14th.
Not the weekend we were hoping for. But each time our riders take the bikes out, they as well as our crew learn how to be better. How to make the bike better, how to navigate the track better, how to keep working towards their goals. We weren’t originally planning to run Southwick, but we have had such tremendous interest from our fans and our riders to see the 2strokes at the Wick before the track leaves the series, that we decided to add it to our season.
SO..next week, it’s off to Southwick for Robert and Nathen, Mike will not be joining us for the rest of the rounds as he begins his training for the AMA Arenacross Series. Stay Tuned to see who will join our line up next!
