Catching up with KTM USA’s Mike Sleeter #111

by Charles Owens on 12/15/2010

Mike Sleeter is a guy with a full plate. Between managing KTM’s Amateur team and doing Research and Development for KTM’s new products in the U.S., does he have time to enjoy the bikes he works with all the time?

Yes, he does. Mike also enjoys racing, and this year you can catch him on a 2011 KTM 250SX 2 Stroke at select events across the country. Mike plans on riding the smoker at Mammoth, Glen Helen, Boulder City and possibly Hangtown. It all depends on where KTM places him. He is very excited about it, then again aren’t we all?

"Keep an eye out for the 2012 SX line, as 2 Stroke development continues." -Mike Sleeter, KTM USA R&D

Mike is a long time fan and rider of the 2 Stroke, moving on to a 4 Stroke as he turned Pro. Like most people, he would like to see the AMA have Pro classes available for the 2 Strokes to be competitve in.

For 2011, KTM is placing him in the select events to represent the 2 Strokes. See you at the track!

I would like to thank Mike for taking the time to talk with Two Stroke Motocross, and wish him the best of luck in 2011!
