Two Stroke Aviation Engines

JohnN:

Very cool information about smaller two-stroke engines used in light weight aircraft.

Coop:
Cool stuff!

JETZcorp:
I've heard you have to be careful with certain two-stroke aviation engines on descent, because it's really easy to unwittingly find yourself in a high-rev, throttle-off situation and seize the thing.  That can't be fun at 5,000ft.

riffraff:
I'm not a big fan of 2 strokes in airplanes

Coop:
I read a little farther and read the one uses dual Bing carbs. I have owned two old bikes (one Can-Am, one KTM) that had Bing's and they were a nightmare to jet at times.
