WTB: 1-1/8" bar mounts
« on: January 11, 2011, 12:28:16 PM »
A friend of mine is giving me some bars for my KDX, but they 1-1/8". So I need some mounts. I don't care if they are the whole mounts that bolt through the triple, or those adapters. I also don't care if they are off a different brand, I am pretty good and making parts work  :) . I know places to buy them new, but I figured I'd check around for used ones first since I am always on a tight budget.

I have an Applied Upper from a 97 RM 125, for 1 1/8. No idea if they fit a Kawi.

If it's the whole upper triple I would be surprised if it will. The 1997 RM's had conventional forks, but I am sure they are bigger than the 43mm ones on this KDX.

Pro Taper makes aftermarket mounts to replace the OEM ones or to add on top. .   they list at ~ $40  Much cheaper than going the OEM route.

If a pair of 2" brass balls isn't working, I doubt that the 3" model will make much difference.
