Non-Moto / 2002 Rm125 start up
« on: March 30, 2013, 05:24:52 AM »
Hey guys finished rebuilding my 2002 rm125 that I bought in september. Replaced a ton of parts, and did all the work myself!  ;D Haven't rode it yet, still need a chain but it runs pretty good! Tuned the suspension today too  :) Pretty happy with it now

Is anyone here interested in diesel trucks? I myself enjoy looking at lifted diesels and what not. Has anyone heard of "cen-cal" trucks?

Lol seriously? Big lifts, small "pretty boy" rims, low profile mud grips? And boatloads of chrome? Lol...

That is so cool! I want to do one when I'm older (and have enough money!) Did you have to do any cuts or welds to the frame?

Also if you do go through with this (which I would highly recommend because Ganaraska is sweeeet) make sure you have your plate mounted on your bike/chestpad whenever you go riding there. Also, make sure you have your insurance slip with you when you go because they have cops out there on quads on most weekends checking peoples ownerships & insurance slips. If you don't have either you get nailed with a $150 ticket. Also, if you don't pay the entry fee ($25 for 18+ year old $10 for "kids") you will also get nailed with a ticket. Me and my Dad go there alot so were getting season passes! Pays off in 5 times! Definetly worth it all because its 11000 acres and tons of singletrack and it's pretty sandy  ;D

Well if you have the ownership for your bike (which I really hope you do) then you just go down to the DMV where people register their cars and you just register it like that. It's 13% of what you paid for the bike (and $50 for a plate) so be prepared :P Also I got my dirtbike insurance from statefarm I'm pretty sure and it's under $200 a year. My Dad takes care of all the paperwork and everything so I'm not 100% sure on all of it but it is, for the most part, accurate.  :)

It's a green plate so technically you can ride anywhere on public (goverment) property if you have insurance with it. You can ride anywhere except the road or where you will get noise complaints which is pretty cool and I don't know about you but I've never been sound checked there before... And my bike is under 94 db  8)

Haha ok I was thinking mirrored ones for sunny days? That would help keep the glare off, right?

I am. I port perry.

I hear the ganny does not allow 2 stroker loud bikes now and has to be licensed ?

Which sucks.  I just ride on my farm and in cottage country.

No there is no sound limit and the only thing that's not allowed in there is UTVs and trucks... Your bike needs to be registered (13% of what you paid for it and $50 plate fee) and then insured which isn't too expensive. But sometimes there are horses or familys hiking in there so you need to shut your bike off to let horses pass and keep your bike quiet when you ride past MTBers or hikers and just be respectful to other people in there

Hey I was considering buying some goggles from http://www.ride100percent.com/ And I was just wondering if anyone here uses tinted goggles? I'm considering buying tinted for really sunny days. What tints do you use and what conditions are they good for? Right now I just have clear and some days it is so sunny out and the sun gets in your eyes and you can't see...
