Thought I would throw this out if anyone is interested, the rest of my parts should be here this week. :)

This is the bike when I picked it up several weeks ago. It was in ok shape, needed some TLC.

Technical / Re: Polishing the frame. Who's done it? How hard is it??
« on: August 01, 2010, 07:31:51 PM »
Polishing is not real hard, polishing a frame is horrible. Unless you have the right tools and supplies.
There are instructional video's all over YouTube.
I just finished polishing an FMF Fatty by hand, no fun. :)

Technical / Re: How to adjust suspension on a 04 YZ250??
« on: August 01, 2010, 07:29:17 PM »
There are 2 rings around the top of your rear shock tube, lossen the top one with a shock spanner wrench (or equivelent). Spin the lower one down to actually stiffen the rear spring, then spin the top one back down to it to 'lock'  it. That is for a basic 'stiff' rear, that does not effect rebound damping.
Easy job, only takes a few minutes.

Yeah thanks, I contribute plenty on other forums but people here do not help, just degreade so no thanks.
I was just trying to help fellow riders that need some parts, nothing to do with promoting.
That seems like help to me.. no?

For Sale / Re: 2001 rm250 mod bike
« on: July 16, 2010, 06:27:57 PM »
wayfastwilly, sounds like a nice bike. A 4's mellow band is definately an improvement in ridability, and tell your son to ride his @zz off!
I love 2 strokes, but if the situation called for it, I'd take a 4 for improved control! Big props to his motivation!

And on the RM, its real hard to get money back on toys. It is definately worth it, but the market is saturated so people will not pay it.
I'm working on a 97 YZ 100% Rebuild right now, New or rebuilt EVERYTHING, down to the hardware/mostly stainless.
It will be nice. I am going to ebay it with no reserve, starting at $1500. I will take a big loss, but It keeps me sain-ish. :)
That may be the way you want to go, I have a eBay store and constantly watch items.. and bikes SELL, especially as clean as yours sounds.
If you want or need some ebay tips do's and don'ts let me know!
