General Two Stroke Talk / Check it.......

  I    know  a   local  rider  that,s   races  a   yz125  a little.   He   hits  Millville   once   a year   in   25   and   30 expert    and   wins   or   top 3   against    450,s   on   a    hilly  natioinal   horse power   track.   He,s   over   40   also,  and   doesn,t   race   millville   10  times   a year   like   the rest   of the gate   or   practice  there   twice   a month.   He    just   shows  up   and   hauls   on his   yz125.

   He  seemed  pretty  excited   about  the   125   ride,  so  why   wouldn,t   ya   want  to race   one.   With  a   few   hours   on  the  125,  he   would   be   alot  faster   if   he   was   more   aggressive  every where.   He   would  be  in   much  better  shape   and   prob   drop   20  or   so   pounds.   And   feel   like  a    trim  racing   machine   himself,  instead   of   a    lazy   4-st  rider   with   man   boobs.

 Congrats   Monster YZ5 ,   should  be  a  fun  race.   Have   your   suspension   guy   revalve   for   arenacross   whoops.   That,s   the   hardest    thing   to   revalve   for,  factory  connection   revalved   my   cr125   for    arena   type   whoops.   The   forks   are   perfect,  I   played   with   the   sag   and   comp   a   little   on the shock.   IMO   the   whoops    are   the   best  place  to pass   in   arenacross,  get   your  suspension   valved   for  them    and    you,ll   be   BLITZING   them.   Arenacross   pro,s    will   test   8   shocks   in a   day,   just to give   ya   an   idea    of    the   time it takes   to get   dialed   in.   Good   Luck

  It,s  weird  for  how   on  he  was  in  02,  I   never   saw  a   video  of   him   in   02.   That,s   a   HGS   shelf   pipe-  the one  made   for the   public.   I   have   a   bunch   of   DUKE   vhs   tapes   of the   94-99   GP,s   there   all   awesome.

  Mickael   Maschio,  French  rider,   02  125   world  champ    The  last  Kawi   125   world  champ.   He   was   supposed  to be  very  fast  that year,  he   must   have been.  To   take   all   the   super fast   ktm,s    down.

was that robby reynard?   No   unless   Robby  got  real  slow.   Robby   did   hit  a   guy  on a atv   crossing   the   track  aprox   03  in  practice  4th gear   on his   kx250   at   Sacramento   national.  Rob   was  injured   his   season  was over.

  125  and   250,s   only  in pro  racing.  I  was  at  Millville  in  91   the   500,s   where   borring   to   watch ,  barrely  enough  500,s   to fill  the gate.  Even  with  Bradshaw, Stanton, Ward, Leshien,  Bayle   the   race   wasn,t   nearly  as good   as the 125 class.   The   500   riders  after  10  minutes   are  tired out  and  just  cruising.

  Get   the  suspension  dialed  in ,  then   get   Ryan   in  attack   animal   mode.  It   should  be  a   fun   race   then.  Best   of  Luck   guys.   I   made  a   semi   pro   basketball   team   at   33   and   13  yrs   of   not   playing.   I    can,t    stress   enough   that   mentally   and    physically   you   have   to   really   be  on.

   Thank  GOD  for  TSM   or  I   wouldn,t   have  any  connection  to   2-st   riding  and bikes.   I   have  not  made   hardly  anything  in the last  5  yrs  trucking   and   with  a  big  surgery.   My   riding   and  racing   budget   is   nill.   So  I try  to  help  riders     that   havn,t   had   terrible   luck.   It,s   not   below  0   here  anymore,  but  it,s  still   winter   with   alot  of snow.  I,ve  been   cross  country  sking,  dunking  basketballs   for   something  to do.   Most local  races  only  get  200  riders   now,  in  92-2002   600  plus  riders  was   the norm.   I   was   lucky  to be   racing  in the   mx  boom,  now   it,s  just  a  bunch   of   snooty  rich   people  on there   450,s    bragging   about   there   money.   The   scene   is   dead   at the races ,  thanks   to  the    4-strokes.   Most  riders   just hit   open   rides   at   tracks   and    don,t   care   about   racing   anymore.

  That,s  funny  as  hell,  that  chic  at   1.10   shooting  the  automatic  and  landing  on her  back  oh  man  I can,t  stop laughing.   Taking  away  guns  is  stupid  idea.    Parents   wasted  on  booze  and drugs,  killing  there  own  kids   or  others  is  a real problem.   Thousands   of  kids  are   killed   from there  parents  driving   wrecklessly   each  year, huge  problem.

  Wow  26  concusions , you must have been  going  for it.  I  had  about  5 ,  only  1  from racing.  That  kinda  sucked  having  double  vision  for  weeks,  had  to close  1 eye  to  function  at  my  construction  job  surveying, and  equiptment  operating.  Hey  STU     I  saw   that   Australian  supertrucker   reality  show,  or clips  of it on  youtube.  They  have  like  8 million  hits,  road  trains   driving  threw  rivers   doing  80 mph,  crazyest  stuff  I,ve ever  seen.   Your  mind   doesn,t  have  trucks  crossing  rivers  in it,  just  like  a 1,000  foot  ship  traveling  across  land.

  Dam Shanes  that,s  gross, I  don,t  know  what it is, but  I  can,t   look  at  pics  like that.  But  in  real  life  it doesn,t   bother me.  I,ve  been  on  the scene  of  bad  wrecks  b4   the  paremedics,  I remember  this  one  guy the   front  of  his  head  was   like it was  blown off,  his  face  the  bones  and all  where  gone.  He  was  in  a  small  car,  the drivers  seat   was   jammed into  the  rear  seat.  The  lady  he hit  head  on  was  in  a  G20  chevy van,  she  had  a   broken  femur, and a    bad heart.   She,s   sceaming   and   panicked   along  with  her  2  teenage  kids  following  her.   I  found  her  heart pills,ran to the truck  4 water.   Bottom  line  driving  is  very dangerous, even  in  a  rv  or   semi,  759  truck drivers  where   killed  driving  last  year.  That,s  hundreds  more  than  anyother  job,  it,s  getting crazy  out there,  be safe   all.

I'm 48 and still racing MX. I quit racing CC back in 1985 because it was to dangerous. I like nice safe MX where the ambulance is always less than 100 yards away! Other than the years I have had to take off to recover from some injuries I have been racing nonstop since 1978.
Here in California there is a lot of racing for older riders. We have the Old Timers International MX series and the Over The Hill Gang clubs series as well. I am a member of both groups. I ride +45 novice in the Gang and +40 novice in the OTMX.

 Yeah  there,s  injurys  that  effect  your  riding  for sure.  My  last  spell  under the knife  was  left elbow  tommy johns  surgery,  outside  of  elbow  insision  they  relieve  the  tendons  and  drill  holes  in the bone.  Next is  a  2in  incision   over  the funny  bone,  where  they  work  on the  nerve.   The  surgeon  said  he never  saw   the   nerve  so tight,  my hand- fingers  was   going  crazy  during  surgery.  Over  1 year  later   from  my wrist  to  half  my  fingers  are  still  numb,  yeah  not  good.  The  outside  of  your hand  is  what  grips  the bars.  The  aztalan  track   in  Lake  Mills   has  a   very  competive  40   and  45  classes,  when  servere  weather  isn,t  threatening.  They  have  a full  gate  for  40+,  riders   that   finish  top 5  at  LL  don,t  win   here.  If   your  racing  for  a top  finish, you,ll  fight  for it.   For  what ever  reason,  riders   short  out  at this track,  in  the 55 +  class   a rider  was  run  over  twice  in  the 1st  corner,  there,s   paremedics   working   on him.  Then  a  450  rider  that  was  stuck in the  gate ,  about  2  minutes  later   runs  him over  going  wideopen.  Nobody  could  believe  it,  the  medics  jumped  out of the way.  It was  the  dumbest  thing  you,d  ever seen,  the   rider,s  been  in the hospital   since  9-9-2012.

  Factory  Rm,s  where  black,  oem  is  kinda  of  a   silver,gray,  and black mix.   I think   blue  looks  the best   for RM,s.    Gusset-weld   the  lower frame   around   the linkage,  Rm  frames  like  to   break  in that area.
