Technical / Re: how to adjust fuel level on 04 yz125
« on: July 13, 2010, 05:28:32 PM »
Make sure your float is moving up and down and is not stuck - may not be the level as such, but your needle and seat may not be closing up for whatever reason. Give the carb a good whack and see if it stops.

On my RGV one of the needles was sticking and after you turned the tap on the fuel was pissing out everywhere. So I guess drop the bowl and make sure the float moves easily. Seem to recall a viton o-ring in there too, (Last time I tried to fix a carb was about 3 years ago) so if there is one in the seat make sure it is intact and not split or perished.

Yep, me and lozza go back a ways :) It's all his fault I bought my RS125  (which he has done some stellar things to) and the TS185 VMXer that even shocked Joel Robert, but not necessarily in a good way  :P It is also his fault that I bought a ktm 500 project - even thought my skillz are at the level of a drunken monkey.

Actually, here is the mighty TS, I'm the guy in the white tshirt removing the tools from the bike and lozza demonstrating my rather knackered chain - that is sideways bendage and explains why it kept falling off.

Have been meaning to post an intro/send you a message but I am very much a lurker and a bit on the quiet side!

Alrighty

Finally got to my folder of pics I took at Unadilla 2009 and cherry picked the best of the mostly 2 stroke related bunch, altho I think I snuck in a Chad Reed or two (I was born 10 mins from him, I can't help it)

Looks like I had the cam bagged up for the 2 stroke invitational, so no pics of that, was just enjoying the sight and sound.

So here are the pics!

Roll on Unadilla.

It is a real shame, and I really feel for you guys - but sometimes some shitty luck like that is just out of your hands and there is not much you can do :(

I'll be there to support you guys for the next two. It will come together!!!

Good luck at red bud!

Can provide some pics,

there is a vintage flattrack tomorrow (harpursville NY), can get a few, my mates from PA are running a YZ powered 490 'thing' and a late 80s CR5hunge. Not MX, but they are part of the international brotherhood of 2 strokers.
Off to mid ohio in a couple weeks for the vintage motorcycle days, and if there is anything on that I can get to at broome-tioga or unadilla can see what I can get (have some pics from a district 3 at U2 a month or 2 ago)
Ahrma nats are on the day after southwick pros at broome this year. Have a heap from the AHRMA nats at broome last year, altho year old pics are not likely to be much use :D

Pics I can do, quality is variable and a wordsmith I ain't.

So, is this on again this year?

watched it last year at unadilla (was on the outside of the left hander leading into the gravity cavity) and it made me happy in the pantsal region.

Please tell me we will have it again this year :)
