Well we've never been down under but looking at it on a computer screen it certainly looks fun!  Maybe one of our Aussie members will chime in on this one!

Sounds like a great ride and the start of a wonderful long term relationship  :D  The straight gas thing...yeah...we had to add an extra gas can for my Beta XT300 but you do get used to it!
About that board seat...Beta makes them of concrete  :o  I recommend checking out Guts Racing for a soft seat.  I put one on my Beta after telling myself for 3 years that I would learn to ride standing up most of the time so it wouldn't really matter.  Nope!  Not the best mod I've done but it ranks right up there!  Not sure which tires Ron has on his KTM but maybe he'll chime in here eventually and tell you, I know he likes them.  I still have my stock Goldentyres and I love them, I'll replace with them when I need to.

Eric glad you got the new bike home!  Sounds like tea parties and birthdays are taking priority but that's not all a bad thing :)  You'll get out there and be ready when the weather is actually good!   Sounds like she's going to be a great bike!

Oh...it's Friday!  Tomorrow is the day!!  Can't wait to see some pics!  I can relate, a few years ago I put my name on a Beta XT300 (arrival date from Italy unknown) in November...finally got her in April...it was painful but I got regular updates from the dealer on status, the hardest was when the shipment was finally on US soil but had to get thru customs...aauuugh!
On a side note...my Beta has oil injection and it's great.  I've never had issues with it.  We did check all connection completely before riding tho and I think many overlook that process.  The amount of oil it uses definitely varies depending on riding conditions and speed.  I think that freaks people out too :)

Anxiously awaiting delivery of a "new" pipe!  Tracking said delivery today but tracking scans don't agree...we'll see!  If the pipe arrives it might get to see some dirt this weekend, couple local tracks are holding practice  ;D

Yes, yes you should :)  I'm enjoying this thread, watching all the projects come together  :D  Mine is coming along nicely, some delays because of snow and not getting parts delivered but it's now back on track!

Beaner...pretty sure you just want (need) to buy another bike!   ;D ;D

Eric...I'm trying to get Ron to have a minute to see if he's got ideas about your jetting...by the time he sits for a minute you'll probably have it figured out...

We did abandon that 125...just too many things to do to it in order to have a snowballs chance to get it together for race season...soooooo....we just bought another one!  ::)  It's a reasonably solid bike...at least it's complete, let's say that.  Something we can work with, it runs and has most of the parts (going to need an entire bolt kit tho).  Since the rules say I can race up to a 1996 or "similar technology" this one is a '97 that is going to identify as a '96 from now on!!  Not sure what it will look like in the end but it has a metallic blue powder coated frame and black plastics (those will be replaced with white!)

General Two Stroke Talk / Re: Happy New Year!
« on: December 31, 2018, 12:15:58 PM »
Thanks John!  Happy New Year to and all!

Just in case we haven't met our quota for the year we are picking up another engine this evening!   Ron is a member of the "motorcycle of the month club" and no whole bike has come home this month so it'll have to work!
