My local dealer parted out three crf250f's and they said they had a bidding war on the frames.
There could be a real market for parted out 250f's.
Existing owners of the 4 strokes are more often than not looking for replacement engines where as guys like us would love a nice developed modern chassis to slot a real motor in!

I should apologize as well, I was a lil fired up at the time because I just got back from football(hellweek). This is the main problem with forums, you can never get a read on someone and their intended sarcasm, anger, etc. Kind of like online poker vs. real-life poker. Bigair, I am sorry I got super defensive, I just overreacted. No need for a flame-war eh  :-X

:o Beautiful. Just beautiful. Words do not do that justice. Almost looks like it'd be a crime to get it dirty, but we don't have to worry about that ;)

Thanks for the clarification Tom. Do they allow 450 2-strokes in there?
But that would be fair then burn and we couldnt have that in pro racing......

Scotty you stole the words from my mouth, I still dont see why they cants run 300 2-strokes in AMA. Its not exactly fair, but it is closer and could actually make it sort of close.

If the bike was a 2T it may not have done that strange little dance in the first place. :-X

Everyone has their opinion... No need to throw insults. He is one of our top posters and he will probably come back, read that and reply. Lets not start anything.

Im glad you saw this first ACMX, because I probably would have said some regrettable things.
But, rbigair40, respect is due when deserved, and I have lost respect for you sir.
I have been on this forum a short time and I already know that Sachs, along with factoryx, ACMX, vintage, and quite a few others are all good guys that truly care about helping other people. There is no need to call someone names because you disagree. Theres a fine-line between criticism and being a dick.

...Ah well, with all its faults, I've never owned a bike that gave me such an adrenaline rush as the SC when it came on the pipe in 3rd and 4th. Man, that was addictive! And steep, sand dune hills, that bike just ate 'em alive - until the motor got hot anyhow. Been many years but I can still feel the thrill you must be getting every time you crack that throttle open hard, lol. The SC 500 was evil, wicked, mean and nasty, but fun as hell!

This is why dirt biking is so much fun. This basically shows why more people should ride, the pure fun and joy provided by these machines is almost un-matchable.

Is the title needed if you intend to ride on private property? I also want to ride on my local track, but they have never performed anything other than the most basic checks.
And I sound like a super noob, but where exactly are all of these bearings located?

The last thing I care about is cosmetics. But does, anyone, have a checklist?

Haha Factory I've heard that my whole life. I am just looking for advice on how to get the most out of the small amount of money I possess.

Yeah I figured it wasnt on the top end, but I couldn't recall.
And Vintage, well everyone/anyone, do you think you could put together a "used two-stroke checklist"???
I figure if you put it into a new thread, it might be stickied so it can be used easily by everyone...
