Open Forum / Found an awesome dirt bike cleaner
« on: December 21, 2010, 08:01:54 AM »
PURPLE POWER cleaner/degreaser. This stuff just makes the dirt and grime melt off. I first blasted my bike with high pressure water and then applied this stuff, let it sit for 5 minutes and rinsed. Looks like I detailed my whole bike, but never even touched it. I will be using this stuff from now on. Just thought you guys would like to know. Even makes the rims shiney!

I don't know if any of you have ever been there, bu this is a great place to ride. It's located in Union Point, GA. They have 150 miles of one way trails, dirt drag strip, tracks, lodging etc. I try to go at least once a year or so. Check it out at www.durhamtown.com

Technical / RM 250 Fork question
« on: May 25, 2010, 04:26:35 PM »
Hey guys I have a question. This is my 96 RM 250. I have a seal leak on the right side of the fork. I know that stock 96 forks were inverted from what I have, but I need to replace the seals. I'm not totally sure what kind of forks I have on there. I took the plastic off so you guys could have a better view. I have updated plastics and engine in there, so I swear it's not a 99 or 00 bike. I just need to know what year forks I have if not aftermarket. Thanks

General Two Stroke Talk / Hey everyone. New to site.
« on: May 01, 2010, 08:17:13 AM »
Hey everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself since I'm new to the forums/website. My name is Ross and I'm from SE Florida. Been looking around and love the site. It's really hard to find a place that covers mainly 2 stroke dirt bikes. I ride a 1996 RM250. I swapped in an engine out of a 2000 RM250 and has been running great for a couple of years now. It also has the 2000 plastics and I believe forks (you guys probably could tell). I noticed my frame has a Pro AMA decal by the forks with a number on it. Does that mean by bike has been professionally raced? I'll post pics of my bike this evening for everyone if I can figure out how. If there are any southern Floridians on this site that knows about good legal riding areas, please let me know since they are very hard to come across. Also, are there any good 2 stroke motocross shows on Speed Channel or any good 2 stroke magazines out there? It seems the world is going to 4 stroke, but I can't seem to get into them too much. Sorry for all the questions.
