General Two Stroke Talk / Merry Christmas!
« on: December 23, 2018, 12:31:30 PM »
It's been a tough year for many of us. Whether it's health issues, financial issues, family issues...find something to be grateful for and please have a wonderful Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!

Anybody have any plans? It's just my wife and I and after a painful bone biopsy on my left shoulder this past Tuesday (18th) and a second surgery removing more lymph nodes and a tumor on my left groin that same day, my mobility is VERY low. So she is making some good food, and we are going to video chat with family in PA while we eat, drink, and be merry :) .

A friend of mine back in PA restored this bike over winter and he just shared this video with me. He did such an awesome job on the bike I wanted to share it here. Skip to the end if you just want to hear it run :) . I had a green 1975 F7 back around 1986, I rode that thing everywhere.

I didn't see this posted yet. The first one of these was back in 2015, this one is from 11/2017. Who doesn't love that sound? And even with that beer gut RC still hauls.

General Two Stroke Talk / Online Magazines
« on: March 23, 2017, 09:38:29 AM »
I have been off work a few days due another back injury. I have been reading these online mags for awhile and figured I'd post them up and see if anyone has others. Both of these are non-US mags but ride and test a lot of two strokes.

For Sale / 1997 Suzuki RM125
« on: July 16, 2011, 05:04:22 AM »
1997 Suzuki RM125 for sale. Reason for sale is Zach decided he wants a dual sport. I recently rebuilt this bike with new crank bearings, crank seals, piston, ring, pin, clips, all new gaskets. I serviced the power valve while it was apart also. The front wheel bearings and throttle tube are new also. It has Applied Racing top triple clamp and Pro taper bars (Thanks to Charles!), Hot Rods crank, Pro circuit pipe, Bill's shorty silencer, V-force reed block with carbon reeds. The bike cosmetically needs some love, but mechanically it's sound. I think Zach rode it 2-3 times since I rebuilt it, he is just too busy with football and why he asked if he could get d/s bike so he can at least ride to practice.

Bike is in Acme, PA 15610. I do not have the title for this dirt bike.

Price is $700. Stock top triple and clamps for 7/8" bars included.

For Sale / 1989 KX500...most expensive KX500 ever??
« on: April 19, 2011, 05:01:27 AM »
This is not mine, but I found this price too insane not to share with you all.

This thing must have some of that unobtanium that 2T Institute posted about with those carbon engine parts... :D  :P

Open Forum / Any Chrysler/Dodge mechanics here?
« on: March 25, 2011, 02:18:44 PM »
I bought a 1990 Dodge B250 van to use solely as a bike hauler. It's 3/4 ton with a 3.9l V6 and auto transmission. It has two issues I am curious about, well issues besides it just being a Dodge  :D. I got it cheap so I am ok with putting some into it to fix this stuff.

1) The speedometer works fine but the odometer quit on my drive home. From what I can research online if the speedo works but not the odometer there is a good chance it is the odometer gear inside the instrument cluster. True or false? It is freezing outside right now or I would go pull the cluster and look. Hopefully I can this weekend.

2) The anti-lock light is on all the time. The brakes have a full pedal and it stops "ok". But the pedal is very hard to push and the van seems anemic in the stopping department. It feels like an older non power brake vehicle. I read these symptoms can be associated with a bad ABS hydraulic unit. I am going to have it put on a tester as soon as I can but figured I'd ask around first. Might be a week or so until I can see if there is a code.

Thanks for any advice. I am not a car/truck/van person and therefore never took time to learn how to work on them like I can bikes  :) .
