General Two Stroke Talk / Adolph Weil R.I.P.

Got word today that Motocross Legend Adolph Weil died last week. Most people on this site may not know who he is, but he was definitely one of the great Gran Prix racers in the late 60's early 70's. He was German National Champion 14 times, and US Trans Am Champion, along with many GP wins and top three GP year end point finishes.
   He also had MX models of the Maico brand named after him as a replica of the machine he modified for the GP's, the AW Maico's in 1976 77. That is something you may never see again with the current state of motocross.

For Sale / 1999 CR 250 and 2001 YZ 250 $1500 each

Both bikes are in good running condition. The CR was bought brand new in 99 and has some nice upgrades. The YZ just needs new plastic to be nice.  I need to make room. Email me at pgp540x5@msn.com for photos and more info.

General Two Stroke Talk / Stolen CR's found

Just got word late afternoon that the stolen CR's have been recovered. There has been a rash of stolen bikes and quads in my area. I am going to the police station to get a look at the theives tomorrow, then going to pick up the bikes. I am told they had a big operation going, with 4-5 of them grabbing bikes, hoarding them, then selling them to customers across the US and Canada. The detectives that I talked to says they have been trying to get these guys for a while now.
   I can't beleive how lucky/fortunate I am that the bikes are not gone forever like the last time this happened to me in 1989.
   Thanks to everyone that gave me advice, and my local police, it really helped.

General Two Stroke Talk / Stolen CR 125 and 250

I'm not sure where to post something like this on this site, but two Honda CR's were stolen out of my barn last night. A 1993 CR125 and a 1999 CR250. I am trying to get all the info together like frame/motor numbers and trying to get the word out. The 125 is my sons, we've had them both since new. I'm in Ludlow Mass., not far from Southwick. As soon as I can upload photos, I will have more info.
           Any help is very much appreciated,

General Two Stroke Talk / 2010 2 stroke predictions coming true

Just want to spred some good news. We had a few riders come into our shop this week and talked about a recent Southwick NEMX race with a lot of two-strokes on the track. He claimed there was about a 50/50 split, even in the pro class, with John Dowd riding a 2 stroke. One of the riders said the 4 strokes took all the fun out of racing for him with their extreme expense to keep them running an entire season.
