Funny, I am not fond of Emig but I watched a show on him. I have to admit I have a lot of respect for him now. Still turn the sound off watching motocross.

I agree VBS, what I don't get is in all the drug testing I have been around ( I work in the Airline industry ) for the last 30 years. The original sample is to identify markers like you said. If that triggers postive  then a more detailed test is done with not only the first sample but in all cases I have been around they have a second jar they also test. In my experience that second more detailed test will differentiate between poppy seeds and pot, or presriptions that trigger postitive effects and illegal substances. I have been told by medical professionals ( whatever that means ) they can pin down exact drugs, concentrations, times etc.
So if he was taking a legitimate prescription, why wasn't it recorded, where is the Doctors orders, and on and on.

Personally I think most of those guys take stuff, for recovery, injury, pain etc. Like in professionaly cycling. You mentioned Lance, Every top cyclist is using some sort or performance enhancement. I read some statictics that stated if they went through the tour de france riders and disqualified ever rider that had at one time been suspected of doping they would eliminate the top 10 riders for the last 10 years or so. Lances biggest problems was that he is a bully and he is American in a European sport.
And MX, SX rider put their bodies through hell week after week. Some just have better Doctors for masking it than others.
My two cents worth anyway.

I had a blast in '14!
Next season I expect to be less fat.

ROTFLMAO  :P Why? did you stop drinking?

I am happy to forget 14 thank you very much. But I can walk again, sometimes without pain.
I will be riding in January, going to do a complete rebuild/restore of my 2000 YZ250 and probably buy a KTM144.
And post pics of the great riding in January, February for the damn Yankees.

Go with the YZ, I have a 03 YZ 125 and a 2000 YZ 250. Parts are easy to find for both. Bullet proof bikes.

Technical / CR 85 loses spark
« on: June 24, 2014, 09:05:59 PM »
Sounds most definitely heat related. You probably already know this but heat increases resistance, resistance can fault a component or wiring to the point that you lose spark. Have you noticed does it do it quicker on hotter days.

You can improvise on testing procedure eprov recommended. Make sure the bike starts, has spark. Pick a component, heat it up, fire the bike up, turn it off, move to the next one.....
I friggen hate going through electrical test procedures personally.

Technical / 02 CR125 SUSPENSION SET UP FOR OLD FAT GUY
« on: November 25, 2013, 06:39:29 PM »
You will have to change the spring, if its stock it is for someone around 165lbs. Then set the sag and play with the settings for your comfort and riding.

« on: November 24, 2013, 01:22:14 PM »
I have read that article and have dealt with that company. Good luck with that, Screw me once......................
As for the airbox, An 05 airbox doesn't fit on the older bikes because the carb diameter is smaller. I know I bought one and tried.

I have also heard getting more are into the airbox makes a big difference. I just bought some of those vents to put on my 02. I will post a review once I get them in.

I also run a Vforce, and a fatty pipe, that combination helped.
Duct tape for the throttle, hahaha, that good, and so true. I always feel like I am flying around the track when I ride it.

I am going through the whole bike now just in case.

Technical / KTM 250 HELP
« on: November 04, 2013, 12:50:44 AM »
I was riding this weekend and my bike did something funny
Totally randomly in 4th, after a double when I pinned the throttle it bogged, no power for about 1 second, then ran normal. It did it again after a step up, each time I pinned it , it bogs and then goes. I was on my last time out so after the 3rd or 4th time I decided to stop. Wasn't at any incline or anything, just randomly ever so often.

Im in the process of dismantling my bike for cleaning but if anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it.

Hey Racer, I was looking at the hones on that site. Which one do you use? The aluminum oxide 240?
Do you have to get one to deglaze and one to cross hatch? Never done that to my cylinder.
