could be your clutch plates vibrating in the basket they can rattle pretty hard depending on the model

yeah saw them, ouch im getting up to 60 hrs now on my piston ,had two rings in the mean time so not so bad but will overhaul before something bad happens ,looks like the new conrods from tm are quite well priced so ill do that and look at a double ringed wossner  ,got to figure out what size yet I think my barrel has got a c stamp but last time I pulled it down the piston had size markings for a a stamp so a barrel measure might be required I think.

Why not go with the kiss principle .The two stroke is simple yet uber effective ,why spend thousands on mods on a 4banger to catch up to a standard 2t,maintainace a 10 year old can complete,light,power to weight ,cheaper to manufacture,a symbol of mx for decades,come back to the true roots of mx and offroad,
just a few thoughts from the top of my head take one and run with it good luck be great to see how you go.
