I believe it was the amatuer race on Sunday after the pro races Saturday.

It was just for fun.

He probably did have more fun on the smoker.

Dang it burn,  you posting that will make me start (again) surfing the web for hours for a '93 or '96 CR250 when I have other things to get done.

I would trade my '06 YZ125 for one in a heartbeat.

Dang it, dang it, dang it!

KIWI means to kick the motor over with your hand instead of your foot.  It should take some effort to do this if it has fair to decent compression.  If it's easy to push the kickstarter over, then the bike will need rings and a new piston at the least.  It's a toss up regarding the bottom end.  That would be something I would check after the purchase just for some peace of mind.

Who knows, the seller may just have a compression tester and may be willing to perform the test for you before the purchase.

Good luck.

It's hard to tell from the photos, but I like the looks of the '02, plus it's newer.

I would ride both like suggested earlier.  If the '02 needs a clutch, new rings and piston etc., then the '00 would obviously be the right choice.

If either bike is tight (not clapped out), then I don't think you could not go wrong with either bike.

Good luck with your adventure.  ;D

Pics. and a ride report. ;D

Has anyone on here rode the KTM 300 and the GG 300?  The katoom seems to be a big bike (ergonimic wise).  I'm only 5' 9" , 155 lbs.  It seems most smaller guys prefer the GG.

DirtBikeSupply may have something your looking for.  They are a new GG dealership in Pelham, AL.

I checked their web site but, it doesn't show their inventory.  >:( You would probably have to call them.

Maybe the Great One is trying to pull us together.

I don't know, maybe it's just mother nature.

Just now getting around to posting.  Please pray for victims families and lost loved ones.

Last Wednesday as many of you know we were pounded by many EF4 and one EF5 tornados that left our state (ALABAMA) and much of the south devastated.  Everywhere I travel there is destruction.

The death toll is now 236 in Bama alone and 80 or so people missing.  I believe there are well over 300 dead  in the SE. Life for many still has not returned to normal.

I know this is sad news but, there is good news to report also.  The small communities all over the south have come together, volunteering, organizing donation centers and just showing care and love for their neighbor (as it should be). There are also remarkable stories of survival.

For any of you weather bugs out there, do a search on youtube, type Tuscaloosa tornado(it's a monster) or Arab tornado (this one was 3 miles south of my house).  You can also view videos of the aerial flyover of the destruction.

Again, your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

Lyle

Very nice article Watson.

Do you race local races that pay out?  I know around here the pro purse isn't very much but it seems like it would help pay for gas.

Congrats on the article.

Sweet,  please keep us informed how you do.

I'm about 3 hrs. from Loretta's and may try to make it up to watch.  It would be nice to see a fellow Two Stroke Motocross member racing.

Good luck.

Chris Alldredge is one of the fastest youth racers in the country.

That was a cool video. Did you noticed how he was able to cut in deep in the tight corners on the two stroke and miss the ruts?   :P

Nice track too.  Even at my age, I think I could handle that track.  ;D

Hope you heal up quick Charles.

I too had a scare today.  My 11 yo son crashed hard.  We thought he might have had a concussion and back injury but the ER doctor
just said he was banged up bad. Thank GOD.

The bad news is his mother has had enough with him riding.  Looks like it's stick and ball sports for a while.
